Guys what if the reason urbain/taunie’s specialty dish is such a weird combo is because they grew up having to scrounge up whatever food they could and mix it together. And that was a combo they really liked so they’re sharing it with everyone else. And what if the reason they liked cooking for team mz was because the highest form of love they can think of is sharing food bc they grew up in poverty and never had enough so they wanna make sure everyone else has enough. Guys, hear me out. Urbain before he came to AZ

Emma’s out doing detective work or something and she comes across this like 13-year-old and his Electrike in the snow and they’re shivering and huddled together for warmth. And Emma looks at him and she sees herself and Mimi, and she knows she can’t just do nothing

So she brings him into the Bureau, and he immediately asks her to help him look for someone. She gets what information she can out of him and, once she gets the feeling he’s about to go back into the snow, gives him directions to someone who can help. AZ may be a little cryptic sometimes and definitely has something going on Emma doesn’t know about, but this kid clearly needs someone, and AZ’s the best option.

And Urbain’s not sure what to make of Hotel Z at first. Neither is Electrike. They’re not sure how to handle knowing exactly where their next meal comes from (AZ gave them free reign of the kitchen as long as they don’t do anything dangerous), or going to sleep at night under warmth when they haven’t done that in forever. But eventually he gets a little braver. Discovers croissants and curry actually taste pretty good together

And Urbain learns more about battling, too, and Electrike becomes a Manectric. He gathers a few more Pokemon. Totodile, Chikorita, Tepig, Bergmite, Goomy. An Espurr that reminded him of Emma, who’s been visiting the hotel every so often to talk to him about who he’s looking for and make sure he’s doing okay. All partners to him, but none as close as Manectric. The one who saw him through so much and was always there for him when it got to be too much

And little by little, Urbain finds a place in the city. As soon as he can, he starts helping AZ by filming promos for Hotel Z. (“The absence of guests does not trouble me,” AZ assures him, but Urbain insists anyway.) He starts helping whoever he can, really, with anything he reasonably can do to help. Because the people of Lumiose City were kind to him first. And he wants to repay them, however he can

Still thinking about food insecure urbain/taunie btw,,, I need to make a save with the masc protag, both of my main saves have the fem protag so I’ve only experienced urbain and bulbapedia has Nothing on taunie yet (I know they’re functionally the same character but like. They feel different don’t ask me why)

Anyway I did not have this realization until recently but like. They are very Aladdin coded esp with the dialogue about them being on the street before AZ. PLEASE tell me someone else sees the vision I’m going insane here

I have. So many thoughts on these critters I love them very much. Idk what the point of this post is I just wanted to yap abt them

Pokemon ScVi Headcanons - Halloween/Veilnight Edition

It's time bitchessssss

Also Veilnight is what I hc Halloween is called in the pokemon universe :) so those might be used interchangeably but it's basically the same thing

Every year Kieran INSISTS that this will be the year he can make it through a scary movie without screaming or getting scared. (He's been saying the same thing for at least four years. It never works)

Crispin spent a week before the holiday trying very very hard to work up the nerve to suggest a duo costume with Lacey. It worked, somehow

Arven never really celebrated Halloween/Veilnight that much. There wasn't much to celebrate in his opinion. Naturally, Penny was horrified when she found out

It's Penny's favorite holiday! She goes all out with her costume/cosplay, even if it's just her Veevees and friends who end up seeing it (both Team Star and Paldea gang)

Penny and Nemona have more than enough enthusiasm about the holiday for the whole rest of the group. (Not that Arven and Tsuki aren't excited, but they take it to a whole other level)

Nemona goes to a lot of Halloween parties and such during the month (and drags all her friends to them too, if only for a few minutes). There is at least one battle (almost always more) at every single one of them

Arven, for his first Halloween/Veilnight, was gonna go with something basic as a costume like a zombie or some other stock horror creature. Nemona suggested the four of them (her, Penny, Tsuki, and Arven) do a group costume instead. This is how they all ended up dressed as the Treasures of Ruin (it was the one four-person group costume I could think of, cut me some slack /lh)

Drayton doesn't even bother with a costume. He just tells people he's going as himself and leaves it at that

Amarys and Carmine watch scary movies every year in Carmine's dorm. Amarys points out every dumb thing the characters do while Carmine goes on about how she would have beaten [generic horror movie bad guy] by whatever point they're at in the movie (they do both get very invested in said movies and there's lots of yelling at the screen, mostly from Carmine)

Lacey gives all her Pokemon cute costumes for the occasion :) all pink if she can help it, of course, or whatever colors fit best with the Pokemon's color scheme

In the same vein as Kieran, Arven insists horror movies don't scare him and he's not scared of anything... and then jumps at every loud sound from that point onward (he's thrown something out of fear before). He just watches them because Nemona and Penny and Tsuki want to and he doesn't want to be left out

The same goes for any haunted house or corn maze or scare thing like that. Arven tries, both because his friends are going and because he wants to get over being scared of it... and then panics and nearly hits someone (to date he has yet to actually hurt anyone but he could if he wanted to)

Drayton invites himself to Amarys and Carmine's movie nights sometimes when he's bored. Carmine threatens to throw him out (literally) every time. To date, she never has

Pokemon ScVi Headcanons - Driving Edition

Because I’ve been doing a lot of that lately and I thought it would be neat

Also the fact that basically none of them except maybe Carmine are old enough to drive a car in Spain makes this funnier to me

Nemona’s speakers crunch because she blew them out blasting music really loud (she always has it like as high as she can stand it) (inspired by my sister who actually did blow out her speakers this way)

Carmine, aside from just general road rage, is a chronic backseat/shotgun driver, no matter how much she likes or trusts the person driving (she’s working on it)

Penny’s dashboard would be covered in little figures and plushies. She would also have a little Eevee or anime thing hanging from her rearview mirror I think

Whatever Arven drives (probably some kind of truck, idk, he seems like the type) is held together with like duct tape and a prayer. It’s like the car equivalent of holding your charger in a very specific position so that it’ll charge properly, that’s what has to happen to make the car start

also everything inside said car just barely works as intended, the poor thing is hanging on by a singular thread

Mabosstiff gets automatic shotgun privilege when Arven’s driving

Also Arven’s definitely pulled the “so help me god I’ll turn this car around right now” when mad before

Penny refuses to get in a car with Nemona because Nemona drives like a maniac and blasts her music loud enough for the whole highway to hear

same for Kieran honestly

Kieran is one of those people who insists on the posted speed limit and not one mile above (he’s also one of those who’s like “if you wanna go faster you’re welcome to pass,” aka my dad driving anywhere) (Amarys is the only one who agrees with him ever)

Kieran, Crispin, and Drayton are not allowed in the same car together because Drayton almost crashed with them in the back one time (none of them will elaborate on what happened)

Pokemon ScVi Headcanons (Again)

Ok people seemed to like the last headcanons post so I'm doing another one. Not specifically for driving this time but I do enjoy the thoughts of the Paldea/Kitakami/Blueberry gang doing Normal Teenager Shit because they deserve it so. General headcanons/them-related silliness

More when I come up with them maybe, also maybe Halloween ones if I can come up with enough to justify a post

Also including Tsuki (my protag insert) in one because I think she's neat and it's my post

Kieran doesn't like looking at himself in pictures/videos, especially after Indigo Disk because of how tired he notices he looks (he's working on fixing that)

Kieran despises spicy foods. Crispin knows this and gives him spicy things disguised as sweets anyway (nothing too hot though)

Arven leaves food by Penny's dorm room door sometimes if he thinks she's forgetting to eat or not eating enough nutritious stuff

Nemona forgets to eat a lot of the time because she gets caught up in battling, studying for classes, or something else entirely. Her sleep schedule is also a mess

The only one with a decent sleep schedule in the Paldea gang is Arven. He's trying so, so hard to make his friends go to bed at a decent time (it never works)

Arven is chronically offline. He does not understand a single meme or reference ever /pos. It drives Penny nuts

I know this is an old thing but I just wanna see what he thinks a hear me out cake is I really do

Penny loves Halloween because it’s the one day she can dress up in full cosplay and no one can say anything to her about it because it’s a costume (still not a fan of Halloween parties though)

In general, cosplay is one of Penny’s favorite hobbies besides gaming and coding! Mostly characters from her favorite anime

Penny sleeps in a cuddle pile with her Veevees most nights. Arven usually sleeps with Mabosstiff nearby because he doesn’t like being alone. Nemona does the same with Pawmot (with something to keep it from losing control of its electricity in its sleep)

Arven’s Mabosstiff stays out of his Poké Ball most of the time wherever possible (neither of them is at all a fan of Uva/Naranja’s rule against Pokemon indoors)

Nemona, Arven, Penny, and Tsuki have weekly picnics after the events of the game, as guaranteed social time no matter how busy they all get
