Thank you for asking sweetie! Sorry this took me so long to get to. This might not be what you expected but it popped into my head, and i thought at least I could finish this prompt for you. :* I hope you like it! x

18. This is without a doubt the stupidest plan you’ve ever had. Of course I’m in!

“Are you serious?” James’ eyebrows knitted together and he propped himself up on his forearms to stare down incredulously at his girlfriend. Or maybe she wasn’t his girlfriend any longer. After what she just asked him, James wasn’t sure of anything anymore.

Lily squirmed under him, clearly nervous. James was very traditional when it came to aspects of their relationship and she was pretty sure she crossed the line this time. She bit down anxiously on a coloured nail, and nodded. “It’s probably one of the only things I’m sure of right now.”

“Really?” James asked, his heart hammering in his chest. This could go so wrong...but it could also go so right.

Lily stopped biting her nails and shifted beneath him, bringing her hands up to fondle the hairs at the nape of James’ neck. “Yes. This is probably the smartest thing I’ve ever done. We’re so young, James, and stuck smack in the middle of a raging war. I don’t know if we’ll come out of this alive, but I know that all I need is you. All I will ever want, is you. Nothing makes sense, but you, me, us, that’s the only thing that makes sense to me now. So, are you in or not?”

James leaned forward and kissed her long and hard on the lips. She arched against him automatically, her body molding against his in a beautifully familiar way. James broke away and pressed his forehead against hers, his eyes glittering with happiness. 

“This is the stupidest plan you’ve ever had. Of course I’m in!”

Lily shrieked with joy and threw her weight at James, toppling them over. She peppered his face with kisses. “It is quite stupid isn’t it?” she asked, her face broken into a big smile.

James wrapped his arms around her. “It’s also really smart.”

Lily’s face broke into an even bigger grin. “I can’t believe it! Are you sure?”

James laughed, his smile just as big as hers. “YES, I’m sure! Lily Evans, of course I’ll marry you!!”

linctavia, they are in a relationship, lincoln is going to war, they talk about it, modern (so not that far from what is happening in the show)

"Come back to me," she breathes against his skin the night before he leaves her again. They don't talk about it, pretend that everything is fine in what time they do have together, but every time he leaves, she misses him with a fierceness she didn't know she was capable of. "Come back to me."

"I'll try," he replies, kissing her forehead. "I'll try."

What's the first book you can remember reading as a child?
