Yin and Yang
Sweet & spicy. Light & dark. Pink & blue. We’re not opposites — we’re perfect complements 💖💙 Which one’s your vibe? Or are you a little bit of both? 😘
True elegance is found in the surrender to both chaos and calm; ballet is the living breath of yin and yang.
Yang edit based on advice from @thatguythatdrawsalot. Actually finished 99% of it in October (2024) but gave up when I couldn’t figure out what to do with her neck. Decided to just draw the first necklace that came to mind to finish and post it. Have a great day!!!
Korean Saju vs Western Astrology – What’s the difference?
If you’ve only ever had a Western astrology reading, Korean Saju (사주) might feel completely new – but also surprisingly deep.
Here are the key differences:
🌓 System Western astrology is based on planets, signs, and houses. Saju is based on the year, month, day, and time of birth – interpreted through the Five Elements and Yin/Yang theory.
📅 Calendar Western astrology uses the solar (Gregorian) calendar. Saju uses the lunar-solar calendar used traditionally in East Asia.
🧬 Focus Western astrology often focuses on personality, psychology, and inner growth. Saju focuses on life structure, timing of fortune, family, health, and real-world decisions.
🌐 Cultural Root Western astrology has Greco-Roman roots. Saju is part of East Asian metaphysics, used for centuries in Korea, China, and Japan.
If you’re curious, I offer free Saju readings for foreigners to explore this unique worldview.
“Equipoise” by Bob Doucette
No one is 100% good or bad. We're a unique mix of both. And beneath us all, a beast lurks within, bearing our darkest and most taboo desires. You can never fully tame it—only at a limit. And those who do tame it tend to repress those primal urges. And the more they deny it—the more its claws scratch through the surface of their flesh through projections. The best way to manage that beast is to integrate it with your master. A balance of both is highly recommendable. Use the beast to assert yourself in situations where people talk you down to avoid being a doormat and the master when you need to stay calm in circumstances that expect reactions from you. That way, the beast and master in you can work hand in hand to make you whole. After all, there is no light without darkness.
