Okay I put this in a more chronological order because i feel like lightning really shifts in terms of character development and portrayal in all three of her games (for reasons that are indeed in my brain but will get into in the future) so :) here are some cool women songs

I told myself i'd post some more of my random thoughts sOOOO

With the recent news of "Happy Ghasts" and lots of people sad about The Implications, I wanted to try and adapt them a lil for my own personal version & ideas for the nether :3 -> also fitting in with my ideas about netherborn etc, yadda yadda <3

So they (Ghasts) are friends really, and seemingly have been forced? Cursed? Damned to a life in the nether? Arguably a fate every creature living there shares, but I like the idea that netherborn (semi outside of the ones we actually see in the game) do know and share kindness, when they're able to.

While not the same as water, I think netherborn - knowing nothing but - would know how to get some sort of hydration out of lava. It's not the best, not what the Ghasts need to thrive. But it works. Kind of. Sort of. It's the best they can do, and seen as the Ghasts don't attack anything in the nether outside of Players (-> specifically taken as anything foreign / as Overworld things) they seem grateful enough about the help.

I run with the assumption that the nether is the youngest of the Dimensions, but by no means "new". Whatever's been living there has been doing so for a LONG time, and they've been evolving with their environment, adapting to the hostile landscape. Ghasts never truely lost their gills, but the youngest ones look the least like their adult versions (in the nether).

Lava grown Ghasts & Water grown Ghasts would visually be very different. From a hard and almost armor-like exterior and generally way warmer, leathery skin vs a more sleek, soft and sort of?? Axolotl-y skin with a thin layer of some sort of mucus (is that the right word,,, idk) to protect them instead. They generally feel cool and always a little slimey, with no real armor needed
