Conversation With Black Lesbian Born Frees On Intergenerational Dialogue for 21 Years of Democracy in South Africa
Faces and Phases is a photography project and a network of participants such as ourselves to connect and share. This year we are hosting a pilot youth conference called Yithi Laba, for 21 participants. The three-day conference will focus on skills and knowledge sharing among the participants, as well as learning about the constitution and intergenerational dialogues.
Attendees will be given the opportunity to talk about their skills and share knowledge or work experience with the group. This is done with the vision that sharing our skills as young black lesbians will help us to uplift each other. The 21 people chosen for this are born in the late 80s and early 90s and currently live in different parts of South Africa.
Yithi Laba youth conference will be held in Johannesburg Park Town, at constitutional hill. The weekend long program will start on Friday to Sunday 5-7 June 2015.
