1. thank you guys!! there’s a lot of replies and asks but thank you I’ve read all of them ;o;
2. YEAH I’m at an arts magnet high school, we take all the required high school courses and all the other class blocks (P.E., electives, etc.) are really intense art classes (not just visual art like dance, writing, etc.) for four years- we get a lot of work but it means we can learn welding or actual film making. I’m in the visual arts program orz but thank you!!! I take it as a compliment :^)!!
3. ahh idk if im comfortable with sharing that? I also don’t know if it’s confidential or whatever. idk. I had a really amazing admissions counselor who looked at my portfolio over the year before applying and gave me advice- if you’re applying for fall 2018 I’d say go to a national portfolio day or something to get feedback from them (that means they’ll also know your name!!). if you’re going for fall 2017, I’d say showcase what you’re passionate about and want to pursue there, y’know?
in general the advice I’ve gotten has been to show enough they know what you want to do, but leave them wanting more work from you- cut out the irrelevant stuff and keep to you. Getting admitted to college is important, but you don’t want to fake what you really enjoy to get in you know?
