im not joking around im Not Kidding when i say im actually haunted by the finale and how much about it makes no sense. i hate feeling like a tinhatter but like. the missing shots, the extra commercial break and it still being shorter than usual, the quotes and songs for the final few eps making noooo sense, mark p saying that he had a scene with cas and jack, uriel and the onion field, misha quarantining/saying he had more days of filming, misha showing his kids the finale despite not being in it and it sucking shit, the bad party city wig vs the actual aged up deathbed look, back to back carry on wayward son montage to kill time....thats not even mentioning how it Narratively makes no fucking sense like theres just so many technical aspects that are suspicious as fuck and so many stories that dont match up. i just want to KNOW what the fuck happened!!!!!!! like i hate feeling crazy but no one from the show is talking about it and the cw literally erased spn’s existence from their youtube page or whatever and its like. genuinely what in god’s name happened to this finale
also like. sam and cas have similar trauma that dean cannot understand. literally shared trauma of the cage memories being transferred from sam to cas, but also the violations of autonomy. while thats consistently sam’s story, cas goes through it as well with naomi and heaven lobotomizing him & programming him to be not-himself, not to mention when he was possessed (killed?) by the leviathans. the use of the full self for some horrible purpose while you cant do anything to stop it is something that crops up multiple times in sam’s storyline, from lucifer to gadreel, and thats something that cas would be able to understand and talk about. of course later there’s dean and michael, but thats a little bit different still in terms of how exactly michael got there & dean’s role in choosing that.
