I ❤ this photo that I took a while back of my granddaughter Abigail. It's hard to believe that she just turned 2 years old last week. Abby loves to dance, smile, eat, play with her big sister Sophia, her puppy Kassi, 2 kitties Lily & Mia and 9 chickens that she helped raise from baby chicks this Spring. 🥚🐣🐥 . I hope you have sweet dreams tonight. ✨🛌💤 #goodnight #YLEOS #oilylagniappe #diffuserblends #essentialoils #YoungLivingEssentialOils #GoodNight #SweetDreams https://www.instagram.com/p/CEGAw9qDGXs/?igshid=1loo391eb0rc0

August Daily Diffuser Blends · Saturday, 8/15/20 · · Cotton Candy 5 Stress Away 4 Ylang Ylang 3 Grapefruit · Cotton Candy. Admit it. Did your mouth water when you read the name of this blend? When you were a child, or even now, what was your favorite color? Do you remember the 1st time you tried it or where you were? Was it freshly spun on a paper cone or was it in a plastic bag? Have you ever seen it made? On TV or in person? · From what I can recall, I think the 1st time I had cotton candy would have either have been at a Mardi Gras parade or when the Ringling Brothers Circus came to town. I always got pink. I think the 1st time I had it was from a bag. The 1st time I saw it made was actually on a breakout segment on the Mr. Rogers Show. After that, I had many opportunities to see it in person because in the New Orleans area, we have a festival for just about everything on every weekend. · Why do you think this combination of essential oils produces a scent that brings back childhood memories of good times and nostalgia? · Stress Away ~ Has a sweet, citrus, tropical aroma. A proprietary blend of 5 essential oils: copaiba, lime, cedarwood, ocotea & lavender plus pure vanilla extract. · Ylang Ylang ~ Sweet, floral aroma. Psst: This oil is often used as a top note in perfumes, such as Chanel Number Five. Renowned perfumer Givaudan describes ylang ylang as “fragrant gold” and “one of the four major flowers which make up the magic of perfumery.” · Grapefruit ~ This sweet, invigorating scent is cold pressed from the peels of the fresh fruit for a citrusy oil with the bright aroma of a grapefruit orchard. · Sweet dreams. 😉🛌💤 bit.ly/theglenns #YLEOS #oilylagniappe #saturdaydiffuserblend #diffuserblends #EssentialOils https://www.instagram.com/p/CD7h8g5D5eu/?igshid=vhrp8ex7iok0
August Daily Diffuser Blends | Thursday, August 13, 2020 | . Caramel Apple 4 Bergamot 4 Lime 4 Copaiba* 4 Nutmeg . I'll admit, I kinda scratched my head 🤔 when I saw this diffuser blend pop up on my calendar for today. Usually a blend like this is reserved for Fall or Halloween 🎃. But 2020 really hasn't been a usual year, has it? . Caramel Apples make people reminisce about making apples with their Mom, Grandma or own children. It reminds us of Fall fairs, trick or treating and get-togethers with family & friends. Caramel Apples remind us of what we miss so much right now. Togetherness. They're a comfort food of our youth & if you're not afraid of pulling your teeth out, your adult life too! So, here's to diffuser recipes that bring back the feelings of comfort & togetherness (no matter what season it's supposed to be in)! . Psst... Here's a recipe I found for some "REAL" Southern Caramel Apple 🍎 Indulgence. 😉 Enjoy y'all! . * Don't forget that Copaiba is 20% OFF through the end of this month. bit.ly/theglenns #YLEOS #oilylagniappe #essentialoils #CaramelApple #diffuserblends https://www.instagram.com/p/CD2OxUgDM1x/?igshid=b78g5aalzsfa
8/12/20 · Mood Lifter 3 Geranium · 1 Lavender · 1 Ylang Ylang . Mood Rings · Did you have one? I am 47 years old & was born in 1973. They were popular in the 70s but as a child, I just thought it was cool to have a piece of jewelry with a stone that turned rainbow colors. It didn't matter that I got it out a gumball machine & if I wore it too long, my finger turned green. . Mood rings were invented in 1975 by 2 New York inventors, Josh Reynolds & Maris Ambats. However, Marvin Wernick claimed to have developed the mood rings a decade earlier. . The idea behind a mood ring is simple: Wear it on your finger & it will reflect your emotions. The ring's stone should be dark blue if you're happy, & it turns black if you are anxious or stressed. While mood rings cannot reflect your mood with any real scientific accuracy, they actually are indicators of your body's involuntary physical reaction to your emotional state. . Science Stuff · The stone in a mood ring is either a hollow glass shell filled with thermotropic liquid crystals, or a clear glass stone sitting on top of a thin sheet of liquid crystals. . These liquid crystal molecules are sensitive; they change position, or twist, according to changes in temperature. This change in molecular structure affects the wavelengths of light that are absorbed or reflected by the crystals, that change the color of the stone. . As the temperature increases, the liquid crystal molecules twist slightly in one direction. This twist causes the liquid crystal substance to absorb more of the red & green portions of the visible light, & reflect the blue part. This causes the stone to appear dark blue. When the temperature decreases, the molecules begin to twist in the other direction, & reflect a different portion of the spectrum. . Mood rings can’t determine your exact emotional state but what they can do is provide you with a beautiful color changing ring, a guide to your mood, & have a lot of fun deciding which ‘mood’ you are in. Mood rings can also be a great look on anyone who likes colors or simply just likes the rainbow 🌈. And... seriously, who doesn't like the colors of the rainbow? 🌈 bit.ly/theglenns #oilylagniappe #yleos https://www.instagram.com/p/CDz-bnDDqGD/?igshid=1nhxtz64z6d9u
