I really don’t like Ylinestera. I never liked her already in book one and now after the Sakor’s Festival in book two... ugh. Because what she did to Alec... Not cool, lady, so not cool.
Using magic to get somebody to bed with you, it's like putting something in their drink to achieve it and I’m sorry, that's just wrong.
/spoiler for later part of book two/ Feel free to say, Alec actually could have said “no”. He could have, theoretically. But she also could have asked him first, magic him later, when there was no doubt wether he wanted to sleep with her or not. Or never, she might have not magic him at all, which would also be cool and I would probably be a bit sad when she turned traitor and died later...

"I had sex with a magician and she pulled a rose out of my ass...Ugh, how romantic."
-Alec talking about having sex with Ylinestra
I painted a pinup. Her name is Ylinestra(Ylin) Warg. She is the elder twin sister of another of my characters who just loves him so much she has to beat it into him. A 6′4″ devout worshiper of the moon goddess with thunder thighs in league with Chun Li. Favorite hobbies: heavy drinking, preaching, spending time with her brother, and the manipulation of inexperienced young men.
I got better at painting skin. Now I need to work on hair. Really work on hair. Did this on with a stronger linework than my others.

Day 13: Rare ship?
Eeeeeeeeeehhhh... all my ships are canon and thus probably rather well-loved...
but I always found Ylinestra and Thero rather amusing. Ylinestra was a femme fatale so obvious it is amusing - she's in full charge of her sexuality, which is always good (unlike her perchant for half-unwilling young male bedmates.) and... I doubt she had any real affection for Thero. Probably was honest in her own eyes with him regarding their relationship, but never made this clear, I suspect... so... she had some right points about herself but was dead wrong about how to deal with others, probably because her good looks made it so easy for her always...
And poor Thero was such a willing victim to her. But well, even without her role in the Downfall of the Oreska... I think he learned from the experience that he doesn't want a woman like her close to himelf...
They were an odd couple while it lasted and I suspect she's indirectly a big factor in Theros character development. And I had always fun with their interactions.
