YMS said that vivienne contacted him to do the music for the HH pilot but he was busy with his own projects at the time.

He was very fair and nice with his criticism of the pilot but he went off on the LD pilot. He loved the HB pilot. He never reacted to either shows beyond the pilots which makes me believe that he wouldn’t like either shows but because he and vivienne are friends he won’t do it out of fear he might say something mean or if he does he’s gonna force himself to like it

Never heard of him.

I'll be honest, I really liked the Hazbin Hotel pilot. Most people around me were a lot harsher on it than I was, but I saw the depth of potential the pilot offered. It is a pilot after all, it is supposed to express a wealth of ideas in a single episode to catch your attention to stick around and see what it does while having a very distinct identity that is typically toned down for a main series. I was very optimistic for it.

I am also extremely optimistic for Lackadaisy, but will admit that the strongest aspect of the pilot was the animation, sound design, and general voice acting. Everyone did an excellent job, but the actual writing was not the most inspiring. I didn't care for the length of the monologue Rocky gave, it was sadly forgettable and ate a lot into the runtime. But the actual story and the fact there is a long-running comic behind it makes me very forgiving.

Lackadaisy is not trying to create something out of thin air, it has a very robust source material that the show only needs to adapt to be successful. I've never read the comic myself, but it is very highly rated and the animation so far is going all out to bring the comic to life. It is dripping in artistic excess that I feel suits the visual spectacle genre WAY BETTER than Hazbin.

This show is going to be beautiful. The characters are fleshed out and fascinating, I don't have the same needs from Lackadaisy as Hazbin because one is historical fiction and the other is grounded in theology. One of those is suited to being a character-driven musical spectacular and the other needed actual substance to survive.

They aren't comparable. How you design your shows sets up expectations and you don't get to play in Heaven and Hell with questions about human nature, redemption, and morality without actually engaging in them. Your characters need to embody the themes your world demands. If she had simply set it in some time or place devoid of these questions or themes, then I would have very different expectations.

Lackadaisy isn't proposing a moral reality. It's about people doing stuff and how they touch each other.

I thought the Helluva Boss pilot was dog water and hated it. I was very disappointed when it released because I realized Hazbin was going to be shopped around while Helluva Boss was the YouTube series I had to look forward to. It felt lazy. I actually only got on board after Murder Family dropped because it hinted at a lot of depth to Blitz that I was interested in.

On the other hand, I've just been informed this guy YMS believes in something called "consensual beastiality" and is an actual Zoophile so there is that!

I don't fucking care when he said it, there is no such thing as "consensual beastiality" and unless you openly state there is no such thing as consensual sex with animals, you still believe that there is some scenario where sex with an animal is okay.

I’ve been thinking back to the Kimba vs. The Lion King controversy and the Your Movie Sucks video that covered it. While I agree with much of what the video talked about, I just want to say one thing.

Actual Kimba fans weren’t the ones stirring up the controversy. If you know nothing of the source material, you’re not a fan. So please don’t refer to these people as “Kimba fans” in your Reddit memes. I beg you.

Most of us (real fans) know The Lion King and Jungle Emperor are VERY different. I’m a lifelong fan of The Lion King who discovered Kimba/Jungle Emperor as a teen and completely fell in love with it. I’ve watched both anime series in their entirety and the 1997 movie. I still have yet to watch the 2009 movie or read the manga, but my point is that I have consumed a lot of Jungle Emperor media. I’m deeply familiar with it and I appreciate both Jungle Emperor and The Lion King for what they are.

We do exist, you know. There may not be a lot of us, but we’re out here.

Love you Scoot

Just learned of Scott Henson's passing and Im still in disbelief. You'll always be best baby, scoot. I know this is very off topic but idk, I just want to share some fond pieces of him.

He's got so many years of banter on youtube to remember him by and that legacy will continue to make people smile, laugh and bring them up on their worst days, just like it did myself. This was an older piece I made as a commission and I still fondly look back on it, alwasy thinking of that sexy intro theme.

idk how to handle loss tbh, and while we never had the chance to meet, I still remember when he joinng YMS's gaming channel and that feels so long ago...he really had an impact on so many people.
