Does shiny Ditto equal shiny offspring?

In gen 2 it had a 1/72 chance or something like that, I used it to breed some of my favorite shinies, like steelix and ninetales! Too bad they are trapped in Pokemon Crystal forevermore.

Because shiny status is independent of IV's now, you can't pass shininess to a child from a parent. Now we have other things like the Masuda method (though I'm not patient enough for those odds, I don't think)

I wonder if the Ability Capsule or whatever it's called (the 200 BP item in the Battle Maison) can change the ability to the hidden abiltiy :/ my guess is probably not

this is weird though, I haven't found any hidden ability sigi's yet and they're all from a friend safari?

Oh my god I just found this guy randomly while finding out what was in my friend's safari, I chained 45+ for a shiny Ponyta in gen 4 and never got one, and now this, I'm so lucky I'm disgusted on behalf of other people
