digital offering for freyr 🌾
He's the flowers in spring
The warm breeze in my face
He's the ewes and the chicks and the calves
He's the Lord above lords
And the King above kings
The pinnacle of true leadership
May we prosper and play
And with each peaceful day
Let us honor our good Yngvi-Freyr
Yes, hail to our Lord Yngvi-Freyr
I needed to do some art that was not work and do it traditional and not just digital to relax a bit.
So a golden Yngve-Freyr came to be.
With Winter Nights happening soon, I figured it's a good time to post my Chthonic Hymn to Yngvi-Freyr
Summer fades with silent swansongAnd the harvest of crops beginsAs you descend into the moundI whisper unto you, Yngvi-FreyrThe nights now g

Ideas of activities for a solitary Freysblót!
Make a flower bouquet! If it’s an option for you, you could even go and pick wildflowers yourself. To take the time to craft such a beautiful gift for Yngvi-Freyr shows how you appreciate the beauty of the land in which you live.
Recite a devotional writing to Yngvi-Freyr before and after collecting your harvest! I personally like to keep a part of my garden’s harvest to offer as a sacrifice.
Decorate your altar with symbols of harvest, such as the sickle! At this time of year, a blót to Freyr would more often than not be oriented towards the harvest. This gives you so much interesting symbolism to work with during a mid-harvest season celebration, especially when it comes to decoration.
As a follow up to the last point, visit a farmer’s market! You might find wonderful ideas of offerings to make, or suppers to eat in honor of Freyr!
Go on a wine, or beer tasting tour!
Take a few minutes to meditate out in nature and dedicate this moment to Freyr! It’s the perfect occasion to nurture within yourself the peace that He is so fond of.
Collect sweet water, either from a body of water or from the rain, and pour it as a libation!
While I’m at it, simply spending time by a body of water (going for a swim, having a beach-side walk, dipping your feet in a river…) can help you feel connected with Yngvi-Freyr. After all, his mythological father is a sea God! The Vanir often feel connected to one another in this very particular manner.
Adopt a healthy diet for the day, or days prior! Eat unprocessed and biological foods to honor your body and to honor Freyr’s gift.
Invite online friends who are fellow Freyr worshippers to write prayers for you to read during the ceremony!
Prepare an oath to Freyr that you want to uphold for the rest of the year! For example: “I vow to stay healthy in your honor”, or “I vow to adopt eco-friendly habits in your honor”, or “I vow to grow this or that new herb”, etc… If you own an arm ring, this is the perfect time to use it, and make your oath upon it!
