Today’s group Sport Yoga session included Reclining Tree Pose, one of my favorite restorative variations🧘🏻♀️It’s a gentle, yet intense stretch for the inner hips and groin and can also help open and restore the pelvic floor🙏We added a few@nose to knee hamstring stretches and some palm trees blowing in the wind for their amazing side stretch 🌿🌿🌿 Some important cues and subtleties that matter: Always keep your shoulders, hips, knees and toes facing the ceiling. Don’t allow your stabilizing leg to internally or externally rotate. Keep hips and shoulders equal, except when twisting. Bend one knee and bring foot with to ankle, below or above your knee and allow to open to floor. 🔥If your hips are feeling tight you can use your hands as a block. Maintain full contact with floor particularly when flowing in palm tree blowing in the wind pose 🌴🌴 Don’t let the straight leg bend or come off the floor when doing head to knee pose. You can perform with a bent leg if you have difficulty with that💪 Do 5 reps of each phase holding each pose for 2 seconds and then repeating.
