Clarks Wallabee

These were THE AMAZON STEAL. I’m not gonna lie, I was fully gassed when I saw them on prime day. £90 down to £36. Madders.

I love Wallabees, i’ve been rocking the black pairs to work for the last year and they are mad comfy. But they lose their shape if used so much.

I’m due to use these occassionally, most likely with the khaki chinos i’ve got. I’ll post a picture in due course.

If copping Wallabees, ALWAYS SIZE DOWN. No ifs or buts.

Ghost for a minute...

So i’ve been ghost for a minute because i’ve been working on myself in another way. I’ve actually been on a diet and been trying to stay focused with it. I’m on Weight Watchers, and its actually not as hard as i thought it would be. So far i’ve dropped 1 stone. So i’m actually pretty gassed at the moment. 

I’m working on some new content at the moment, so just wait on that!

If you wanna ask me about Weight Watchers or anything, feel free to holla the kid.

Adidas 350s

So I have big collection of trainers, over 100 pairs, but i’m not a sneakerhead. Like i’m not looking for those lowkey city packs from ‘94 or camping outside a shop to grab a pair. But i love trainers.

Summer is supposedly here and i reckon the Carhartt joints will look sick with a pair of cocaine whites like a gringo (Word to Dave) 

These ticked the box and they were only £60.

NB copped that Crep Protect to help keep that freshness.

ASOS Loafer in Black Leather with Creeper Sole.

Once I’d copped those grey trousers I knew I needed to get some new shoes. Mainly cos my current work shoes are fucked and because I think a narrow loafer will look good with it. 

I’ve seen the tassle loafer come back through over the last couple years, but more time its the Essex boy gang who come through in the no sock combo. I’m defo not hating on doing loafers and no socks, but i’m not in2 it for a night out.

I like the creeper sole because i like the extra cushioning it gives, my feet are mad, so i need that. I’m 6ft 1, i don’t need to steal height inches! 

These are quite narrow and they’ll need a bit of stretching out, but i think its gonna look good with the trousers. I’ll post a pic when I get my bits back from my tailor don.

Burton SlimFit Smart Grey Check Trousers

Doing Business with these trousers, I work in a corporate environment and whilst I have to be smart I still try to put my style on it. I’ve never actually worn grey trousers to work because I think it can look booky with black shoes, but i’m gonna have to get used to that now...

More time I buy my work stuff from Marks & Spencer. They’re old skool quality and they carry a decent size range, but its a bit Grandad fashion. Whilst Burton is bait high street, they have more fashionable cuts & fabrics.  

This joint has a light check on it to help break up the grey, but whilst it says slimfit, I find it closer to straight cut. I got these in a 40 inch waist and they fit quite well. But i’ll still take them to my tailor to further taper the leg. 

I hope they’ll drop sick with the loafers i copped to wear them with...

Carhartt L/S Master Shirt

This Carharrt shirt was another steal (£45), the fabric and production is on point but the sizing is a bit off. It says its an XXL to fit chest 44-47 inches. But it feels a bit tight on me. 

More time I find XXL fits are off, like most brands who do it, just do it for the sake of doing it. They ain’t bothered in the actual fit. I’m sure most big dudes have felt this pain!

I’ll rock this unbuttoned with a t-shirt underneath, so it’s all good.

Carhartt Johnson Pant.

I finally got round to posting a pic of my LPU’s. I know it would be helpful to see how they fit, but i’m not really in2 that at the moment. Hopefully i’ll get to place where i’m happy to do a proper WDYWT picture.

So I grabbed these chinos from Carhartt in their summer sale, they had mad bargains going down. They’re a waist 40 which is the biggest they go up to, and i think the fit is sick. Real comfortable. I’m gonna get them tapered by my local tailor, and then they’ll be fully bless.

UK vs US

It’s the age old fucking comparison really. The US has been that benchmark for music and fashion in my world. I’m into hip hop and many sub genre’s within that, namely Grime and my style comes from streetwear. I even had my own brand a few years back. But anyway, whilst the music and broader fashion power base is shifting to London, this Big Man / Brawn / Plus Men* thing is minute in the UK from what i can see and establishing itself in the US.

I’ve been preeing instagram, checking facebook groups and i can’t find much in the UK. I’m part of a huge streetwear community called The Basement and whilst there are loads of big buys, no one really addresses this topic. There are sub groups for bigger guys, but whilst most streetwear brand stay dropping only up to XXL they can’t do much. I plan to really get the conversation going about Big Guys* in there.

* i need to come up with a term to describe this i’m comfortable with!

Anyway i finally found someone bigger who has a style i fuck with, and unsurprisingly, he’s from New York. He was interviewed for a bigger men community called Good Counsel The guy is called Akeem and he runs an ice cream shop and works for a record label

He dropped one line that really resonated with me :

“Me personally, I’m not trying to go skinny, I’m not trying to be super-fit; I like my size, I like how I dress, I like who I am.”

Its the last bit i really got down with. My goal is to be able to honestly say to myself, “I like my size, i like how i dress, i like who i am”

That’s the mission...

Anyway i’m gonna post some actual fucking pictures this week, so it won’t all be my internal monologue. I copped some bits from Carhartt and some new creps. Plus an absolute fucking steal from Amazon Prime Day...
