Practicing some self-love with my own fics :)
The series that I am most proud of is the series I wrote for the @yoichasinggoldzine. It focuses on parathletes Minami and Yuri P., coached by retired Olympic athletes Yuuri and Victor.
Victuuri plays a part in this series, but at the heart of it is the drive to succeed and win - no matter what life has thrown at you.
If you haven’t read it yet, please check out my Chasing Gold Zine series featuring my zine piece All That Glitters Isn’t Gold .
Thank you to anyone who takes a chance on this series!

Hi, friends! I was recently invited to participate as a guest writer for the @yoichasinggoldzine. It’s been a huge honor and I’m very excited to see my fellow participants’ work. Please follow the blog and support!
Have a short drabble preview set in canonverse.
Landing.
Yuuri had enough pride to know it was a good one, ending everything with a flourish that showed off that same pride. Frozen in his final pose, he finally noticed the ecstatic racing of his heart, speed rising and rising as the cheers seemed to turn into static in his ears.
It was a little disappointing, considering how long and hard he’d worked just to hear that sound, so he tried to focus on where he was.
Oh. There it was.
The cheering again, sounding real that time.
He didn’t want to take a cold sweat and shaky breaths as portents of what might occur on what he considered to be the most important event of his life. No, not today, especially not here.
Qualifying had resulted in Yuuri asking himself several times if this was really his life, if it hadn’t been handed to him by mistake somehow and someone would come to take it away.
But the evidence was there. Empirical proof. He was good. Good enough for the games and good enough to represent Japan.
“No one’s taking this away, Yuuri,” Victor reassured him upon noticing the terror swirling about in Yuuri’s eyes, and the familiar tension in his body. “This is a real chance you have!”
He’d pressed several kisses on his face, making his heart beat for reasons other than nervousness.
But it was always there, like an unwanted guest that used your toothbrush and ate all of your good.
He sometimes found himself staring at his skates as he laced them, pausing every movement as he wondered what it would be like to do just this in whatever venue they chose, just a short distance away from giving his all and trying not to make a fool of himself.
He breathed deeply. Gave a long exhale.
He didn’t want to be the one to take this away from himself by way of his anxious thoughts.
I see you there, he said to them. And guess what? I’m still going.
Yuuri thought it over and over, and still when he was indeed moments away from going out there, trying to even out his breaths and warm his cold hands, Victor beside him.
He looked up and gave the man a steady look, breathing deep and promising himself a gold medal at the end of this.
