YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT WINDBREAKER IS CANCELED BECAUSE THE AUTHOR TRACED??
Call me controversial, but having a whole 500+ chapters for that reason canceled is crazy. At least make him like idk. Redraw those chapters or actually formerly apologize to not only his audience but the creators he traced from too. That’s where the problem lies not with Naver webtoon😭 not only that but windbreaker was going to end soon anyway. So we rly have an ending with nothing cause the man got axxed. Do i get the tracing problem? Yea? Do i think he should’ve done it? No. Making a single chapter in a week ON YOUR OWN. Is hard asf. So yea i kind of get where he is coming from. He should’ve found an alternative tho, not trace. But then again getting your manga axxed and you might even be blacklisted from the industry is fucking crazy.
In an interview he even said that he used 60 cuts but that the publisher and naver kept asking him to make more what then led up to almost 80 cuts Which caused him to work around 10 hours a day (mind you he’s a single artist and i doubt he can live off of only his manhwa since its not THAT popular) some days he didn’t even get to sleep and he’s overworked. ‘But that’s the expectation’ ‘but that’s just the work culture’ CLEARLY those things should change then shouldn’t it? He even stated that it’s hard to eat (when he actually does eat) and doesn’t always eat because work can be very stressful.
Once again, your ‘stars’ shouldn’t be milked. Same goes for koop idols, artists, celebrities or just anyone. You should cherish them, not milk them out and suck the life out of them. If they are so important why to they then get treated this way? That he traced panels is wrong. 100%. But out of the 500+ chapters it now means you should cancel his work? He still has artistic talent. That’s true. His story was still creative. The chapters before he got haunted for making more cuts was still creative, both story wise, character wise, design wise. Ect.
Not only that but he’s probably receiving death threats by the korean fans
So in conclusion: i don’t think his work should be canceled. And i think Naver needs to calm the fuck down
