“Would you hold still please?” Yoongi huffed in a somewhat annoyed manner, his eyebrows furrowed. A squeak of protest reached his ears and he snorted in disbelieve. “I did not tickle your belly. I didn’t even touch there you baby.”
The next squeak was even louder and Yoongi couldn’t suppress a grin sneaking onto his face. “Oh yes, of course, I’m always lying, of course but could you please hold still now?”
The small dolphin looked downright offended but thankfully held still. Yoongi resumed his work and fiddled with the string of plastic tangled around one of the dolphin’s flippers. The pink-haired really didn’t understand how other living creatures could just throw these harmful things into the ocean. This was the home to so many living beings and those humans knew that. How could they still do this then?
He bit his lower lip, nails picking at the plastic that was almost cutting into the dolphin’s skin. A quiet growl escaped the merman as it didn’t budge. “Wait here, I’ll look for something sharp to cut this.”
The dolphin was in no way happy about that, squeaking in a somewhat panicked manner as Yoongi small away towards the coral reef, the dolphin following him hurriedly. “Didn’t I say stay put?” the pink-haired mused as he picked up different rocks and shells but none of them were small and sharp enough. A soft, apologetic squeak reached his ears.
“I’m not goona leave you here and swim off, don’t worry. We’ll get that thing of your flipper, okay?”
The small dolphin bumped his shoulder with the top of his head carefully and Yoongi had to smile at the gesture of gratitude. “Yeah, yeah, don’t worry about it.”
Once he found something suitable he went back to working on removing the piece of plastic, biting his lip in concentration. The dolphin was now occupying his lap, holding as still as possible while Yoongi moved the sharp shell back and forth until he finally managed to tear the plastic off, tying it together and putting it under a heavy rock. He had yet to figure out what to do with this plastic so for now he buried it under rocks so it wouldn’t continue to float around the waters.
The dolphin squeaked happily, wagging his flippers and looking ecstatic.
Yoongi couldn’t help but smile, petting the dolphin’s head. “You did a good job,” he praised. “Now off you go, back to your mommy.” He made a shooing motion with his hands but the dolphin made no attempt to swim anywhere. If anything he stuck even closer to Yoongi who pursed his lips. “Young man, your mom is gonna pluck my scales off if you don’t go back.”
The dolphin squeaked quietly, a pitiful little sound and Yoongi’s stern expression fell. “Oh no… I… I’m so sorry.” Another sad squeak reached his ears but no, it wasn’t okay. It wasn’t okay that this dolphin’s mom had left him behind because he, apparently, wasn’t strong enough.
Yoongi hugged the little guy ad stroked along his back in a comforting gesture. The option of leaving this adorable, little guy out there all alone broke his heart and Yoongi couldn’t bear the thought of sending him away so instead he opted for a different option.
“You know what?” he said and the dolphin crooked his head a little. “You can come home with me if you want to.”
The dolphin’s eyes turned big and round, almost seeming to sparkle as he looked at Yoongi in shock. He opened his mouth for a series of excited clicking noise and the merman had to smile. “Of course you can, come on.” He patted his side before letting go and starting to swim, his small friend quick to catch up to him and squeaking excitedly.
Maybe he shouldn’t always be this quick to offer up his own home as a place to stay but he just couldn’t stop himself. When he saw a creature in need he couldn’t just turn around, swim away and pretend he hadn’t seen it. Sometimes it got too much and it was a little overwhelming but Yoongi wouldn’t want his habit of picking up strays and outcasts to change in any way. He enjoy helping others out, giving them a crutch to steady themselves so they could find a better path without worrying and struggling for once.
Just last week he had taken in several sea stars who had been bullied by others and Yoongi being the softie he was of course decided to bring them back home.
Hoseok sometimes really needed to meditate a few minutes after getting to know his lover’s new fosterlings but he was generally very supporting regarding this whole uhh… foster home situation they had going on.
“Just try not to make too much of a mess,” Yoongi said once they were getting closer to his home and the dolphin wagged his flippers in agreement which made the merman smile. Dolphins just were so adorable and playful all the time.
“Hoseok?” he called upon swimming into the rock formation, quickly spotting his lover who was trying to solve a dispute between the sea stars, his orange tail fin twitching in irritation. He looked up upon hearing the elder’s voice and smiled until his eyes fell onto his lover’s companion.
“I know, I know!” Yoongi rushed out quickly before the younger could even say anything. “But he doesn’t have anyone. He’s so small, look at him. I couldn’t just say no,” he whined pitifully, pouting at his boyfriend who looked at the small dolphin for a while before looking back at Yoongi who stared back with big eyes and pouty lips.
Hoseok wasn’t able to resist for long, releasing a long sigh and pushing off the sandy ground to swim towards the older. “Fine,” he mumbled. “But I don’t want to be the one who deals with his mood swings when he hits puberty. I still remember that seal baby and that was awful.”
Yoongi couldn’t hide his smile and quickly threw his arms around his lover’s neck. “I know, I know, I’ll take care of it,” he promised and Hoseok just sighed but had to smile nevertheless. “I know, you always do.”
“I love you,” the older said with a smile and kissed his lover who chuckled softly. “Yeah, I know. I love you too.”
“But you really have to make sure those sea stars don’t rip each other apart.”
“On it.”
Hoseok looked at the dolphin who stared back at him innocently with a happy squeak and wagging flippers. “Oh boy,” he sighed.
Their home had always been more of a foster home anyway so one more addition probably wouldn’t make much of a difference. He simply couldn’t say no to Yoongi, he was way too whipped for that.

Summary: Even after all the years that had passed things were still very much the same. Yoongi and Hoseok were still madly in love with each other, the latter showering his mate with affection and gifts, making the omega smile which always managed to brighten Hoseok's day.
Everyone was doing good, things were calm and-

Summary: Maybe Yoongi should feel guilty for not really cheering for his own House at the Quidditch match but he honestly didn't have it in him to care when he had a boyfriend like Hoseok out on the pitch who embarrassed him by sending exploding bubble hearts while everyone was looking.
He kinda like it though.
