+ character design attempts for them all
idk how to explain brin, but i drew this after barely drawing for months :)
brin's like, yet another background character i've decided to thrust into the spotlight? her existence is due to a writing exercise where i wrote snippets based on bdg's abba covers, and her purpose now is to serve as a vessel to explore zolaen religion in noveia. and noveais colour theory!
(red symbolizes repentence, asking forgiveness, and rebirth. white symbolizes pestilence and death.)
phone wips dump (feat. one time i drew @multi-lefaiye 's CUDAAS ocs and forgot to post the drawings b/c i got nervous) <3
these are from like mid-march until today
[IDs: The first picture is a simple, gray, digital sketch of a fat man in a tank top stirring food in a frying pan on a white background. The drawing is labelled in the upper left corner as "Madden".
The second picture is a similarly sketched fat woman in a tank top and shorts biting a hair tie off her wrist as she holds up a messy bun with her other hand. The drawing is labelled in the upper left corner as "Rea".
The third picture is sketch, similar to the first two pictures, of an uncertain looking fat ghost with long hair. They’re wearing a t-shirt and their legs are an incorporeal, squiggly mist. The upper left corner of the drawing is labelled "Rome".
The fourth picture is the first three pictures attached side-by-side with "Seeing Ghosts" handwritten in cursive overtop of the image in white and grey. There is a grey blur beneath the words, obscuring the sketchs behind it a bit. It is signed, "- Franklin -", in cursive.
The fifth picture is a pair of cleaned up sketches, coloured in grayscale. A bumpy line seperates the two sketches. The left sketch is coloured with a flat medium gray on a light gray background. It is a queen with her hair up in a braided crown in a revealing, off-the-shoulder dress and one arm crossed, the other poised arrogantly in the air, matching her smirking expression. The right sketch is coloured with multiple grays on a white background. It is another sketch of a queen (the same one), wearing a loosely tudor-inspired dress and her hair up in a braided crown. She is looking off to the side blankly. In both sketches, the queen in wearing a crown, large jewel earrings, and a matching large, jeweled necklace. The drawing is labelled "Giselle" in cursive and signed "Frank L.".
The sixth picture is a sketch of a girl with straight-edged hair on a white background surrounded by a pattern made up of spirals of varying sizes. There is a purple to light blue gradient on the spiral pattern from right to left. The sketch and pattern are unfinished.
The seventh picture is sketches of three of multi-lefaiye's CUDAAS ocs: Alekto, Narkissos, and Hekate. Each is labelled with their name (and a heart beside it). Each is sketched in light blue and lightly coloured. On the left (Alekto), there is a guardian with gradiented blue hair and teal cheek markings wearing a white blazer and teal button-up. Their hands are in fists, neatly rested against each other at the knuckles in front of them, and they look hopeful. In the middle (Narkissos), there is a guardian with tied back white hair wearing a white blazer with a teal button-up and blue tie. He was blood on her face and on her white wings; she looks angry. In the bottom right corner (Hekate), there is a wildling with bright red hair and wings wearing a black button-up with rolled up sleeves. They're smoking and look unimpressed.
The eighth picture is a digital drawing with cold, eery lighting. There is an elven boy in the centre of the drawing (and the light) with silvery-white hair, blue eyes, and three red scratched lines running down either cheek, symmetrically. He is wearing a white button-up underneath a blazer with shiny gray lapels and a star-like diamond pinstripe pattern. On the dark background, darker lettering reads: "Know that it makes none of the difference".
The ninth picture is a flat-coloured, lined drawing of a woman in a strawberry dress. She is lounging on three yellow pillows and looks annoyed; her long, wavy blonde hair is fanned out behind her. Her face is propped up on one arm, and she has strawberry earrings (among many other piercings) to match her dress. It is watermarked "yopsocs" faintly in the bottom right corner.
The tenth picture is a gray digital sketch of the ninth picture on a white background. It is watermarked "yopsocs" faintly in the bottom right corner. End IDs.]
Writeblr Intro
**edit: moved to @paradisiacalshroud
So, since I'm intending to post more of my writing on here, I've decided to join writeblr.
My name's Franklin. I'm 10 days away from turning 17. I'm trans and aroace. I use he/they pronouns and prefer he/him. Ig I could consider my self a "gifted kid", but I really I just have adhd. I wasn't sure if I should join writeblr honestly, but I do follow a good amount of writers on this account and my main account and I do write more often than I draw, so....
First & Last Line Tag

Of Sea Lords and Great Jewels
First:
As long ago as the sun, and as far away as forever...
―☘―
At the foot of a great mountain lay a small village, cordial and hospitable to all who passed through. In the tepid light of mid-morning, a traveller swathed in indigo fabric wandered into the town square, stopping at its center fountain. Lowering their hood and setting down their pack, the traveller shook their wrists and, with a grand sweeping gesture, pulled an immense canteen from their sleeve.
“Excuse me, you there! Would you happen to be a magician?”
The traveller turned deliberately from their slowly filling canteen to glance at the man who had spoken. “I would happen to be.”
Last:
“Here’s to not finding another mountain,” Chad laughed. “I’ll take a bastard over eternal damnation any day.”
Geo ignored his comments. “We should begin our journey. I hope to make it to the next village before nightfall.” They turned, leading away from the village.
“So soon? Hey, wait up!” Chad called, scrabbling after them. “What’s your name anyway, O Glorious Saviour?”
“It’s Geo Bijoux. Refrain from addressing me otherwise.”
“Man, that’s no fun!”
Geo said nothing, continuing southward with Chad trailing after.
The REX Scandal
First:
Janine wasn’t sure why she had signed up for the Randian Emigration Exchange. Maybe she felt pointless and unfulfilled in Noveia; maybe seeing another corner of the world could fix her.
The Randian Emigration Exchange (for short, REX) had put out a global call. They were Randia's new emigration organization, and they were offering free and easy emigration to Randia for all eligible for their program. It was hard to find a full list of qualifications— Janine hadn't actually succeeded in finding such a list— but right at the top of all them, one was clear: you had to pass several physical and medical tests to be eligible.
Janine applied, went in to be tested, and surprised herself by passing with flying colours. It had been as ordinary as she had expected. What she didn't expect from this exchange was what happened upon her arrival to the aeroport in Motdes, Randia's capital.
Last:
“How does it feel to be my legal wife-of-convenience?” Janine asked as they stepped out of the aeroport.
“I hardly know,” Turgul said. “There is much about you I have yet to learn, but I look forward to it.”
“Thanks, again,” Janine said. “Thank you so much for everything.”
“Of course,” Turgul said. “You are welcome.” And then, with a small laugh: “Anything for you, my dear wife.”
He looked out at the aeroport chaos and distant Randian landscape. “Come, let us return to my home in the mountains. I don’t mean to frighten you, but my mother-in-law will be very excited to meet you.”
Janine smiled in return, grabbing his hand.
As Cherry Wine
First:
Rosy lingered at the garden gate, unable to enter.
"Liesel," she started futilely, pleading, pausing in a loss of words. Pushing the hair out of her eyes, she hoped to glimpse something more than disappointment in Liesel's eyes.
Out from around the corner of the home's humble entrance room, Liesel's sister poked her head out to assess the cause of such commotion, and so late in the evening on her family's front lawn. She looked young. Far younger than Liesel at any rate.
"Betje, go back inside," Liesel ordered, nudging her towards the door.
Last:
Unspoken words drifted through air as Liesel held onto Rosy's arm. I can't lose you again.
"Okay," Rosy croaked out. "I'll stay."
Liesel smiled, and her grip on Rosy's arm seemed to lessen ever so slightly. "Come in. We'll get a bed set up for you."
"Could I get some food, too?" Rosy asked softly. "I didn't have dinner..."
"Of course." If Liesel was surprised, she didn't show it.
I have no clue who to tag lmao..

i have regrets that include me wondering who jungho's future boyfriend would be and my brain replying with kevin day
i feel silly putting Double A Batteries characters' full names in their oc tags, but then i remember their middle names have significance b/c of how names work culturally in ro-khui alba <3
