I was so excited when this robin stayed put for a couple minutes, allowed me to approach it and take its picture that I thought I'd push my luck and see how much closer I could get. It turns out, there’s line. The city of York is definitely among my favorite cities in the world. When I visited it, I had the constant feeling that I could discover something wonderful, simply by taking a few more steps. York represents the romantic idea I've always had of England: staying in a small hotel with soft lights, having tea in a Bakery, walking in a park with perfect lawns, going into small shops where everything seems handmade, stopping to admire a street artist, walking through medieval streets mesmerized by the magic of warm lights and the fear of mysterious and narrow alleys. I recommend the city of York to any photographer, or traveler. The best season to go there is absolutely autumn, the colours you will find this season will amaze you. La città di York è sicuramente tra le mie preferite nel mondo. Mentre la visitavo, ho avuto la sensazione costante di poter scoprire qualcosa di meraviglioso semplicemente facendo qualche passo in più. York rappresenta l'idea romantica che ho sempre avuto dell'Inghilterra: alloggiare in un Hotel piccolo dalle luci soffuse, prendere il thè in una Bakery, passeggiare in un parco dai prati perfetti, entrare in negozietti dove ogni cosa sembra fatta a mano, fermarsi ad ammirare un'artista di strada, camminare per vie medioevali che ti fanno un po' perdere tra la magia delle luci calde e la paura dei vicoli misteriosi quanto angusti. Consiglio la città di York ad ogni appassionato di fotografia, o semplicemente di viaggi.
