Another new one ... this is "York Minster Cathedral" a beautiful photo of the interior that was captured by my son, Rich Bryan, while he was studying in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2012. I did a wee bit of Photoshop tweaking and here she is!! Posted for a contest on #FineArtAmerica "Beautiful Cathedral Interiors" I remembered this one and thought it would be a good fit.

Beyond a fresh bouquet of white roses, tulips, and foxgloves spreads the glowing and magnificent interior of the gothic York Minster Cathedral in York, England. Also known as St. Peters, it was created to be the greatest cathedral in the kingdom. York Minster was constructed over a period of 250 years. Begun in 1220, it is situation on the site of several previous churches, the first dating back to the year 627.

York Minster is probably the most famous and one of the most magnificent gothic cathedral in Northern Europe.

It’s a real architectural masterpiece in stained glass and handcrafted stone which has been at the centre of Christianity in the north of England.

The central tower of the cathedral is also the highest point of the city.

This shot features the bronze model of York Minster which is situated outside the actual cathedral. Don’t even know what to say about today! Spent 2 and a half hours trying to get to work, failed and turned back. Then set off again at 11:30am and got here no problems. I even had to wear sunglasses in the car as the sun came out!
