I can’t believe I work during the entire Nintendo portion of E3. Man, my luck is actually the worst.

I never thought I’d make this kind of post, but I hate tourists... so fucking much. At least the ones who act like they get special treatment just because they’re here visiting. Like no, you have to follow the rules like everyone else. Sit down.

Out of curiosity what makes you dislike the Star Wars series in general? No judgment, it would just be interesting to hear your opinion

First off, let me say thank you for not judging me for not liking Star Wars. I’ve dealt with people in the past giving me crap for hating it, so I’m glad to see you just want to hear my thoughts.

But truthfully, I just think the series is boring. Not in the sense that nothing happens, but in the sense I’ve never felt compelled to care about any of the characters or what happens during the movies. I’ve seen two movies from the OT and at least one Prequel, and unlike a lot of movies I didn’t like, I’ve actively tried to block any memories of Star Wars from my mind. It’s worked since very little pops up from my own mind and not from what I’ve seen on Tumblr.

The thing that pushed me over the edge was the negativity. I know I’m going to step on toes by saying this, but overly negative fandoms are unappealing to me. I’ve been in one and all it did was not only kill the fandom itself, but kill my enjoyment of the series the fandom was so negative about. Being around overly negative fandoms really drains me because I can be a bit too empathetic to others’ emotions so I end up feeling the same way even if I’ve never seen a thing. (This ties into reasons I don’t like or no longer like other things to be honest.)

Look, I respect everyone’s right to how they feel about whatever Star Wars media is out there, be it the OT, The Prequels, Sequels, EU, or whatever. I just personally hate it. I would like to think others can show the same respect to me that I’ll extend to them.

I did not realize being early to work too many times could cause me to get less hours at a job, but my job has proven me wrong. Well done, y’all. Real nice. And now to get more hours I have to write on my days off when I can work instead of knowing ahead of time. Spur of the moment work that’s scheduled last minute is not going to work for me; you’re literally keeping the problem going by doing this. This is the most counterproductive mess ever. Might have to look for other work or go somewhere at my job if this keeps up.

But you know, I’m not gonna let it ruin my mood. It’s my birthday today, and I’m gonna be happy dammit! I got cake and ice cream, and I’m gonna enjoy it.

Alright, I’m turning off anonymous asks for the rest of the year. The reason for that is my The Dragon Prince liveblog given I’ve reached... a certain episode. An episode that caused discourse on another site. If y’all want to come for me, come for me with your blogs not hidden so I can see who you are exactly.

I’m playing no games. I’m not going to end this year the way I ended last year, dammit.

Guess whose six and a half year old Animal Crossing New Leaf town just corrupted?

I’m honestly really pissed because of how much work I put into the town. And now it’s gone. I guess it’s right in time for New Horizons in a few months, so I guess that means I’m done with New Leaf since I don’t think I could play the game again after this. Too much work I’d have to do and it’s not worth it for a corrupted cartridge.
