“E-eh?!” She’s crying now?! But -- isn’t it a normal reaction to dodge a flying projectile? “But -- h-how was I supposed to know? You threw it at -- but I didn’t mean -- I’m sorry!” Why is he the one apologizing when all he’d done was step out of the way to protect himself? This entire interaction is a tragedy. “Um, uh -- do you want a hug?”

Assessing what the female had told him, Kuroko finally connected the dots of the rumours that have been going around the girls, frequently discussed in hushed whispers and he just happened to be close enough to overhear. (Of course, none of them noticed him even if he blatantly went over to listen in but he’s not one to pry).
