missing for the time being

I take advantage of the way we call each other every night, so when you’re busy, when you’ve got other things to do, I can’t help but feel lonely and wish you were here with me right now.

And yes, I know we are both humans, I know we both have different dedications, and I know we both can’t always make time for each other, but the emptiness I feel without you can’t calm down. Call it a moment of desperation, but I would ponder on what brought us together in the first place, and I would even reflect on any actions I took that could possibly make you back away from me.

I don’t want to lose you. Cheesy and cliche as it may sound, but I want to see a future with both of us together. Sometimes circumstances make it seem impossible, like a musician trying to become a biologist. But one day, I don’t want us to remain as the skeletons in the closet. I want to show them how much I love you. I want to show them us.

Times like these when we aren’t able to contact each other horrifies me. As if even the smallest thing can change your mind about me. Darling, please, I beg of you, please stay as the wind beneath my wings.
