You’re surrounded

We all are.

Throughout a lifetime, everyone has their troubles–someone might have stubbed a toe, or missed a car payment or be studying for an upcoming exam. Big problems and small. We each have our fear, our grief, our hassle.

The thing is, the troubles were local and unique. It was easy to walk away from our drama, at least for a moment, because someone else, everyone else, had something else they were dealing with.

For the last month, that hasn’t been true. For anyone.

You can’t avoid it, can’t walk away from it and have to work to put it in perspective, because every interaction comes with someone else amplifying the story.

But…

At the same time the echo chamber around us magnifies our story, we also have the solace of knowing that truly, it’s us.

Us together.

The boat is really, really big and we’re all in it.

This is a slog, and there will be another side. It is unevenly distributed, it’s a tragedy and it’s a challenge. But we’re in it together and with care and generosity, we can find perspective, possibility and hope.

You're Surrounded

There are only 3 for the main couple. 3 kisses in 20 episodes. They're trying to kill me. 

But I have to say that the plot line was great. I love love love that his mom wasn't lying to him, and he wasn't that guy's son. But I do wish that Ki Jae had gotten an older brother. I feel like life's shorted him of a lot of love. 

The entire drama was done really well, I think. The pacing was good and I was always intrigued. Of course the dash of romance helped, but the fact that it was mostly comedic drama made me really happy. Lately I've been watching way too many love dramas. And while those are nice, they tend to lack a lot of plot that doesn't concern romance. 

But yes, You're All Surrounded was great. There wasn't too much fanservice, and all the characters were properly fleshed out. This is probably going to be one of my favorite KDramas of all time. 

But let's be honest, Shut Up Flower Boy Band was pretty damn good. I don't know if Lee Seung Gi's kissing skills (He looks like he's really good at it I'm jealous of the main actress) can unseat Myungsoo from first place.
