The difference between bi and pan is whatever someone wants it to be. Theres no definition or either that or more valid than another definition. It changes from person to person based on experiences and stuff, so what’s the point in arguing? They can have a lot of overlap and still be different labels. Like, person X could identify as bi when some people would say their experiences line up more with pan, but what those people say don’t matter because it’s X’s own label, and they can use whatever they want. It’s about comfort!
