real homies respect trans people! /gen
You, over there! The one with dysphoria. Yeah, you, c'mere. We all see you, hiding under sweatshirts and avoiding mirrors. It's ok, you can breathe. I believe you when you say you're trans. I know your pronouns are important. You deserve to be called by your name. You don't have to prove your gender to anyone. Breathe, stretch, drink water, eat food. Something good, something you like. Relax your shoulders. Even if you don't believe you are worthy, I do. Your body is yours. You decide what to do with it. You Other people don't get to define who you are. You know. I know. Your life is real and valuable. Joy will always prevail. It's going to be ok
pronouns =/= gender. pronouns are words we use to express our experience of gender, and everyone is going to do that differently.
you can be a girl and not use she/her pronouns. you can be a guy and not use he/him pronouns. you can be nonbinary and not use whatever pronouns people expect of you at any given time. you can be any gender and use whatever pronouns you want. you can not use pronouns at all. you can use neopronouns.
hair length is often socially associated with gender but you don't have to be a certain gender to have long hair, short hair, styled hair, etc.
you can just like your hair being a certain way, and dislike it being another way. you can shave it off all because you don't want hair at all. you can make up a hairstyle of your own. you can collect wigs and have totally different hair every day. same thing with pronouns.
so go out there and be a little freaky with it if you want
Can straight people be in the LGBT+ Community? Yes, let me explain...
Straight people can be asexual or aromantic, so therefore can be LGBT+, and there are also plenty of transgender people who are straight.
there is a lot of exclusionary and divisive trans discourse on this website these days in the midst of it all it can be hard for some people to remember we are all one community so im taking some time out today to make a shout out specifically to genderfluid folks
✨genderfluid positivity post✨
genderfluid people you are trans enough
genderfluid people who are in the closet you are trans enough
genderfluid people who cant or wont transition you are trans enough
genderfluid people on moments/days/weeks/months/years where your gender aligns with your agab you are still trans enough
genderfluid people on days where you have no idea what yourgender even is you are trans enough
genderfluid people you belong in the trans community and we love you!!!
