I wasn’t expecting this from the album, but I’m not disappointed. This album put me through every emotion there is and I’m so happy about that. I’m impressed, too. The Maine never fails to disappoint, and somehow even after LLL this album STILL left me hopeful and in tears. Give it a spin if you haven’t yet.
Took a picture of these sunflowers back in September when I was in Switzerland. I’ve been using this as my wallpaper for awhile and with the release of YAO, I’ve found it rather apt for Flowers On The Grave. I’ve made a phone wallpaper/lock screen. Hope you like it :)
There are not enough words to describe the immense love and gratitude I have for The Maine. Over the span of 10 years I’ve only seen myself grow alongside this band. Their growth is awe inspiring; this new album is everything. The honesty and personal growth that can be seen lyrically on John’s part, his own personal journey through misery to finding love, both personally and interpersonally resonates within me so deeply. The only artist that I’ve ever encountered that seems to share the same brain and thoughts as myself. My heart is so full. I felt compelled to write a text post because I’m so touched by You Are Ok but it seems that I can’t even find enough ways to talk about this band and album without going on for days or sounding cliche. The most talented human beings with so much humility I am so proud to be a fan and can’t wait to be in the audience once they come around in April. I am so grateful to exist at the same time as The Maine. My favorite band forever.

The Maine released the new album and I'm just truly in love. They brought so much newness and peace with this album that I don't how to explain how much I loved! My favorite song it's definitely 'flowers on the grave', but please, make youself a favor and give it a listen to this album i'ts really amazing!
