The girlfriend, part 2
So on July 2nd, I get a call from her. This is a Monday and she called at 4:11am, so obviously I ignored it. She did leave a message though. She makes some jokes about my obnoxiously long voicemail that I have to have for work, and says she misses us and wants to hang out. I take a minute to think about it, and decide sure, what the heck, we will try it. So I start texting her. Of course I start with yelling at her for calling at 4am. She shockingly responds almost immediately, and we talk pretty consistently for several days in a row. We catch up and just talk about what’s going on in our lives. I had been considering joining a gym, because I finally finished physical therapy and was allowed to work out again. She said she was interested. Then we went for about a week without talking, until I did some research on gyms in the area. I found one that is relatively cheap and looked okay, but has a 2 week free trial that I wanted to check out. I asked if she was serious about going to the gym with me, and she said yes. She lives about 15 minutes away from us, and the gym is right down the road from our house. In my head, I gave her about a 50% chance of actually showing up, but she did. She was even almost on time. So we worked out together and talked more about what had been going on in our lives. I got her caught up on the Cheetah situation. She got me caught up on her love life. Apparently she was officially really over her ex, but was still talking to him as friends. She said she had been having sex with other people again, and had started talking to one guy that she likes. We’ll call him... Turtle, and we’ll call her Coyote. So Coyote comes back to our house after the gym, because Raven is home and she wants to see him. So we hang out for a little while. And she says that she missed us, and she thinks she wants to have sex with us again. We are stunned. We didn’t even expect her to actually hang out with us again, and definitely did not expect this change of events. We didn’t do anything that night, but Raven and I started talking about it.
