Devemos rezar pelos falecidos? No sacrifício da Missa, sempre rezamos pelos defuntos. Geralmente, nas nossas paróquias, já ouvimos, num comentário inicial, na oração da coleta e, principalmente na oração eucarística, alguém rezar pelos que morreram. Sempre rezamos pelos mortos e, de maneira especial, na Santa Missa. O Catecismo da Igreja Católica, baseada em sua Tradição e na Bíblia, ensina a comunhão com os defuntos. "Reconhecendo claramente essa comunicação de todo o Corpo místico de Cristo, a Igreja dos que ainda peregrinam venerou, com muita piedade, desde os primeiros tempos do cristianismo, a memória dos defuntos; e, porque é um pensamento santo e salutar rezar pelos mortos, para que sejam livres de seus pecados' (2 Mac 12, 46)". A nossa oração por eles pode não só os ajudar, mas também tornar mais eficaz a sua intercessão em nosso favor. Reza-se pelos mortos, porque é bom e salutar, ou seja, é saudável não só pela ligação afetiva com aquela pessoa que partiu, mas é saudável porque cremos que fomos batizados em nome da Santíssima Trindade, portanto, fazemos parte do Corpo de Cristo. Por isso, rezamos por aqueles que partiram, para que, não tendo morrido totalmente santo, possa alcançar por nossas preces e pela misericórdia de Deus a vida eterna. Reza-se pelo defunto, oferece-se algum sacrificio para que a alma alcance a purificação, e pela fé na ressurreição. Deus, em sua imensa misericórdia, purifica as almas, toma-as para o seu Reino. Por que, então, rezar por sete dias? Ou por que uma Missa de sétimo dia? Por que no sétimo dia? Na realidade brasileira, reza-se ainda uma Missa de sétimo dia por causa da extensão territorial. Os parentes que não podiam chegar a tempo para velar o morto vinham depois de alguns dias; assim, a Missa de sétimo dia permitia que o parente distante pudesse estar com a família e rezar pelo defunto. Por fim, reza-se a Missa de sétimo dia, para fazer alusão ao dia que o Senhor descansou. Rezar é ainda uma oportunidade para aqueles que ficaram, louvar a Deus pelo dom da vida daquele que partiu, rezar uma Missa de sétimo dia, para aqueles que ficaram, é uma oportunidade de pensar como está a própria vida. #catecismo #youcat (em Paraná) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNYehNwhaOJ/?igshid=qj9kxpla020
