Rules: I'm supposed to answer these 11 questions, make up 11 myself then 11 tag people
1. What is your favorite time of day/night?
Early evening. The weather cools down so it's nice enough for a walk, but there's still not enough darkness to hide any psycho murders that might be lurking around.
2. If you were with your favorite character (in any show, movie, book, etc.) for only one minute (60 seconds!), who would it be, what would you say to them, and why?
The conversation I would most like to have is with Dr. McCoy. Being a computer engineer means that people often assume I know everything about every electronic and program ever invented. So I'd like a nice long rant with the good doctor about how many times we had to use the expression "I'm a ______ not a _____!". I would also like to complain about how no one seems to notice when I quote him, but that might be a bit too meta.
3. If you could kick back and have a few drinks with the cast of any tv show/movie, which cast would it be?
Hmmm... saying cast instead of characters is tricky since I don't really know much about the people behind my favorite shows. I'd probably pick something from Marvel because I'd really like to meet Stan Lee. He seems nice. Oh, I know, X-men, the first one, so I can meet Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen too. James Marsden and Hugh Jackman can come too.
4. Who is the scariest villain (they can be from any movie, show, book, etc.)?
When I was younger, the villains that gave me the most nightmares were Maleficent and Ursula. Disney: providers of fond memories and many, many sleepless nights.
5. What is your opinion on animatronics in theme parks/at entertainment venues for children?
I don't know, I've never actually seen any. I bet they're pretty creepy though.
6. Can you remember a line from a book or play (from memory!)? If you can, what is it and where is it from?
I'm the annoying kind of person who sometimes memorizes poetry/passages they like. You don't want me to go there.
7. You’ve just been dropped in an alien marketplace to fend for yourself on a distant planet. What do you do?
Assuming I've been dropped off via TARDIS, I already know all the languages, so I'd go around trying to gather information under the guise of casual conversation. It's best not to admit how lost you are right away, that always goes badly in all the sci-fi stories.
8. What is your favorite fairy tale?
I'm all about fairy tales!
1001 nights: The Fisherman and the Djinni (or maybe Prince Ahmed or Ali Baba)
Grimm: The Peasant's Wise Daughter
Greek: Demeter and Persephone
Norse: Thor's visit to Jotunheim
Hans Christian Anderson (deserves his own category, don't you think?): The Little Mermaid
Disney: Beauty and the Beast
Modern: The Last Unicorn (but only because I don't think that any of JRR Tolkien's work count as "fairytales")
Fairy tale with actual fairies: Peter Pan
9. What is your favorite mythological character and/or pairing (romantic or otherwise)?
My favorite Mythological character is Cassandra. The irony of her curse/gift is heartbreaking. I also like to take it as a metaphor for what happens when society ignores women. Cassandra did warn the Trojans about Paris, they could have avoided a ten year war and ultimate destruction.
10. Assuming you were a farmer or craftswoman or someone of that social standing (not a ruler or noble!) which fantasy world would you rather live in? If the fantasy world you chose has different regions/countries, in which one would you live?
The Shire, definately. I think I'm short enough to pass for a hairless-footed hobbit.
11. Three of your favorite characters walk into a bar. Only one walks out. What happened?
Was there a fight of some kind? If so, Wonder Woman is the one walking out. Doesn't matter who the other two are.
Okay, my questions
1. Describe the last dream you had.
2. Favorite comic if you have one.
3. Last book you read.
4. What made you pick the username you're currently using?
5. Science Fiction or Fantasy? If you HAD to pick, I know people who like one usually like the other.
6. Do you prefer watching movies at home or at the theater?
7. Do you like e-books or actual book-books?
8. Favorite Disney song?
9. Zombies have taken over. The earth's a mess. We're all scattered and lack order. Any useful skills?
10. Silent films, do yo like them?
11. I don't know... uhh.. what's your favorite question?
I don't actually know 11 people on this site. I follow some and some follow me, and yes, there's overlap, but we don't actually have conversations or anything. So here's just the people I know from deviantart.:mecha-nations, atroxchobatsu, youhaveashortmemory, jiosen, kaydreamer, and any follower interested.
If they want to, of course. Nothing bad will happen if you don't. You're thinking of chain letters. And even then, nothing bad will happen if you ignore those. I mean, bad things will happen because that's just life, but the chain letters have nothing to do with it.
