During the shooting of Stranger Things season 5 some photos were leaked and now we know that a Church, covered by the eerie vines of the upside-down, will be an important location.

A distorted use of religion is something we already experienced in the show, especially in season 4.

Here I want to point out a tiny detail many of you may have overlook. Do you remember Robin and Nancy looking for information on the Creel murder?

They found a paper claiming this:

According to several insiders, Victor believed his house was haunted by an ancient demon. Victor allegedly hired a priest to exorcize the demon from his home. Victor claimed this exorcism failed, but it angered this demon which then murdered his family, removing their eyes. Victor believed he was spared as a punishment.

We of course now know that the cause of this curse was his son Henry, but what about this priest? Why should Henry grow his powers after the introduction of a priest? Is this priest the main person to channel all his anger and hate? If so, why? Could this priest have consciously and purposely fully awakened Henry's powers? If so, could he even be the final villain of the whole series?
