(Saying this here because I don't mind if you post it). Your post about flirting with a girl is so relatable. I literally had that happen last night while I was sitting at the bar. She was super pretty and I was like "maaaaybe she's gay?" And kept looking over but I didn't want to be creepy or weird. And then her boyfriend joined her. But point is, I wish there were a universal sign for "I'm queer too! And interested! Talk to me!"
oh god I know! That post that was going round a few weeks ago about the wristbands made me want them SO BAD for that reason. But even when I’m with queer women I feel like it can be hard to tell? Like I made that post because I was flirting with this woman and since I don’t know her well I couldn’t tell if she was flirting back or just being really friendly. I feel like I play this game a lot, the, “Is This Just Her Personality Type or Does She Want to Kiss Me” game.
It suuuuuucks cos I’m always afraid I’m going to come off as a huge creep, ESPECIALLY if she turns out to be het. (I live in fear that some het woman will decide I’m trying to “turn her” when really I’m totally willing to back off but I can’t tell if she’s flirting back.)
Holy shit what is wrong with that dude? "I'm a feminist, but women like you just want to be a victim! And why are you bringing race into this? Racism doesn't exist anymore! I would know, I'm a white dude and I don't experience racism at all! Did I mention my opinion is worth more than yours, and I debate issues that don't actually affect me?" So so so sorry you're dealing with this jackass. But know you have many people on your side, including me. Hope the rest of your day iis better!
Thank ya friend! and don't worry, that dude has no effect on my mood what so ever other than bemusement. He's a sad little man and example 2934802 why I don't like when men call themselves feminists
