“I’m sorry... It’s embarrassing, really.”
Kira looked down at her feet which now turned inwards towards each other. She’d been here in this ‘hotel lobby’ for what felt like an eternity. Pouring over a map on a small coffee table. Seemingly studying or planning to anyone at a passing glance. But in all actuality, she was lost as shit. And she knew it too.
This map had to be correct, she just hadn’t ever been around here. She could read it up and down all she liked, but she had zero experience with this place.
“I asked a few others who looked like they traveled often but... I- ahhh...” Kira frowns, still not looking at this man.
“They weren’t very.... kind. So I thought you looked- oh!” Kira waves her hands in front of her, “Not that I mean you look- Oh my...” Her face turning as red as his hair, implying he looked dangerous enough to run around outside of city limits often. This man could step on her like a bug. Offending him would be unwise.
“Can you- can you help me?”
“Please?” She adds quietly, clutching her map to her chest.

They had told her that she shouldn’t be up and about. That walking at this point could prove to be too much of a strain on her, but Kira knew better.
Kira knew that they only told her that because had they not she’d be more inclined to sneak her way out of the medical ward again. ‘Critical condition’ was an overstatement at this point so they didn’t really need to keep an eye on her. Just make sure that she didn’t fizzle out anytime soon.
But of course, they left her unattended. Now wandering about in one of their doctor’s ‘offices’ looking for a book to snatch up. Even if just another manuscript or educational textbook at this point. Staring up at the ceiling was growing tiresome.
Fearing of their return, she picks a lighter tome and stands wobbly. Already looking through it as she tiptoes out of the forbidden office and bumping into a figure. The book falls to the floor and she gasps loudly, hand clutching the white nightgown they fetched for her so she wouldn’t freeze.
“I’m so sorry-! I-!” She stumbled over her words, breathing heavily from the shock to her heart. But looking up with wide eyes, she didn’t recognize this face.
“You’re not familiar. Who are you?” She asks quietly, barely even above a whisper.
