sudden influx of business during his shifts
even tho the other registers are open all the customers are lined up behind his
his coworker jae gets jealous bc he doesn’t get enough tips for lobster, pizza, and other fine cuisines
creates the playlist for the background music in the shop
occasionally plays guitar and sings at their open mic nights
spells everyone’s names right on their cup
meanwhile, jae: “can u repeat that???” “my name is lisa” “ok lizzy, how do i spell that”
the first time he misspells a name is when you’re ordering from him
has to ask you to repeat your order bc he was too busy staring at you
when you smile and say it again he blushes and gets all flustered
takes extra time brewing your drink to make it perfect
is super focused and has his tongue poking out from between his teeth while drawing the latte art
wonpil’s peering over his shoulder admiring it; “wow hyung that’s so good”
[jae in the background]: looks like shit
“you’re breaking my concentration go away”
when he’s finally finished, wonpil says “here i’ll call out this order!”
but when he’s about to say your name, youngk pushes his face away and yells out your name before he can say anything
when you come up to the counter to pick up your drink, he hands it to you with a warm smile
“enjoy your drink” and then wonpil pops up from behind and says “yea he put his blood sweat and tears.mp3 into that”
you’re a little flustered yourself but you thank him with a smile and leave
you end up coming back again and again around the same time to make sure you catch his shift
he picks up on this and looks forward to that time everyday
makes sure he’s not serving anyone else when he knows you’re coming
if a customer tries to order from him when you come in, he throws wonpil under the bus
wonpil, stirring five drinks furiously with sweat dripping down his temple: “but hyung, i’m busy!”
eventually youngk plucks up the courage to ask you for your number
you give it to him and he takes you out
after the first date suddenly the coffee shop playlist is full of cheesy love songs
