Ciel chewed on his lip at the question "Some people, even when they see something, they don't want to believe it." He pushed a finger under the eye patch and pulled it away to reveal his purple pentagram eye, before turning and gently cleaning up Jack's ears and nose, trying desperately to not let Jack see the tears that were welling up in his eyes. "You can't go Jack." He whimpered, trying so hard not to cry, only kids cried. "I'll be all alone."
Jack's eyes widened faintly at the strange purple eye, but it was hardly noticeable. It's not like it changed anything. Ciel was still Ciel, and that was okay.
Hearing the boy's small attempts of staying stern made Jack cringe. He wanted to help Ciel, he wanted to protect him and keep him safe. That was his job as a Guardian, to watch over the kids. But, Moon, he was so tired. He just wanted to fall asleep. He didn't know how to stay awake.
"I'm sorry," Jack apologized and clenched his teeth together. "You can't be sad...please don't do that. You're gonna be fine." He wanted to reach a hand up to reassure him, but he couldn't find it in himself to lift a limb. He could barely keep his eyes open.
