The First Meeting || Bianca
On the drive up to the cabin Jake went through the list of pros and cons 100 times. Was meeting with Bianca a good idea? He asked himself over and over and over. He always found one more pro to outweigh the cons but just to be sure he'd make the list again. And then once more for good measure. Jake wasn't even sure why he called her two nights ago. Did he really miss her, did he need her one more time, the possibilities were endless but now he was on the last stretch of highway meeting her at a summer home in the dead of winter. No possible way they would be spotted or caught, not that they were doing anything wrong to begin with. Jake turned up the radio a bit louder just to block out the thoughts that were swirling in his head.
He checked the clock, still making good time to meet with her. She picked 7:30 which Jake thought was reasonable. He of course had to lie to Cassandra, his current girlfriend but she didn't even blink when he said he had dinner with some high school friends. It wasn't an entire lie, he was meeting a high school friend, for possibly dinner. What Cassie didn't know wouldn't hurt he thought, his trip was innocent, but the less questions the better. Jake wondered if he should call Bee, to ask her where she was. There was a good chance she was driving and figured he should just wait until he got to the cabin. He turned off the main drag onto the long winding road that would eventually lead him right where he needed to meet her.
