Lime? its better than being alive in this dump ill tell ya what
Lime: “WE ARE AWARE. HATE TO BREAK IT TO YOU, BUT THERE IS NO HEAVEN OR HELL. YOU WILL STAY WHERE YOU WERE BEFORE:
IN YOUR OWN HELL.
Your Own Personal Hell || Carl, Xavier, & Bronwyn
“Bronwyn…are you sure?” Xavier knew he sounded like a broken record, but he didn’t care. Just like he didn’t care for the look in Bronwyn’s eyes or the rigid set of her shoulders. Her single-minded determination to see this through unsettled him. “It’s not too late for you to back out and stay at your mother’s with Dmi—”
“Ye’re wrong. It is too late.” She turned away from the window to pin him with a glare. “I started this and I intend to finish it. And if there’s anythin’ that I have to finish, it’s this. Nothin’ ye say will change my mind. All the elements are already in place. We’re doin’ this.”
“Even if it means Mason’s anger?”
“Even if.”
“Bronwyn, if you just tell him that they—”
“No! And if ye so much as think about tellin’ him, I’ll strap ye on a slab right next to that thing.”
Xavier groaned and rubbed his hands over his face. The wench was going to give him gray hair, he just knew it. Still, he’d promised to help her with this campaign, and as he didn’t make it a habit to break his word, he had no choice but to follow through. Besides, there was a part of him, a very big part of him, that understood her need to do this. “Very well,” he sighed as the clock chimed the hour. “It’s time.” He walked over to her and took her hand, transporting them across country and sea to her family’s home.
Once she’d filled his ear with dire warnings and instructions, he took his leave of her and set off to find his dear brother. Betray nothing, she’d told him. One seed of suspicion in his stubborn head is all it takes for this to go to hell. And if it does, I’m holding you personally responsible.
Of that Xavier had no doubt.
Having managed to locate his brother, he fixed his usual sneer and condescending expression on his face before approaching him. “You’ve chosen a magnificent prison,” he said in a bored and vaguely amused tone. “I would’ve gone with Siberia myself. All sorts of nasty things hide out there.”
