I know a lot of people want Wukong's parent to be dead

But... I dont think that what Wukong happy. I feel like Wukong is type of kid who still love them and actually belive that they can be change. Taking the parent away is like taking the "change" away from him

yeah, I can see what u are talking about but shihou....still thinks his parents can change with maybe happiness and love he gives will help them, he still thinks maybe he was the problem that's causing his parents not to love him, or maybe he wasn't

Who are your merlin confort characters?

Arthur and Merlin (and Gwen) are a given, obviously but I suppose you mean apart from them :D

So, it's definitely Sir Leon :D he's my Number 1 comfort character. It's very funny to reinvent him and have him suffer and learn new things and be a cryptid. It's so much fun.

Him, often in combination with George because it's crack I kinda invented and am very proud of basically monopolizing the Leon&George ao3 tag.

I'd say Gwaine next, but he's Impossible to use for dramatic effect :) He's very easy to make a driving force for stupid adventures though, while keeping him clueless and motivating.

Then, though I haven't been able to use her much, my love, my life, Frog eating Princess Elena. She's just a joy to have around.

These are my mains because I think I pretty much grasped their characters and know how to use them in a story. It's more difficult with the other knights because they are a) too quiet (Percival) or b) too emotionally mature/stable (Elyan) to challenge or annoy much, or use for humoristic effect. And complicated stuff doesn't count for comfort.

I'm leaving out Morgana for similar reasons.

Kilgharrah would be easy to annoy, but he also easily annoys me so that's out.

And Lancelot is on thin fucking ice because he's actually a complete mess, but he seems reliable and competent. That's difficult too.
