Affirmation
O Spirit, train my senses not to wander away from Thy home. Turn my eyes within to gaze upon Thine ever changing beauty; train my ears to listen to Thine inward song.
Do Not Wish to Play Someone Else’s Role - Complete Your Own Assignment - Foil Disappointments
During the playing of your part, agreeable or otherwise, do not wish to play somebody else’s role. Complete your own assignment, or you will have to spend aeons of time in the enactment of imperfect human parts, changing from one to another according to the change of your desires. Get away from this entrapment. The only way to foil disappointments of will-o’-the wisp prosperity, fame, and earthly happiness is not to feel sorry when you are denied what you think you want.
When you possess the all-in-all God-consciousness, even if you have nothing of material possessions, yet you have all. People who really contact God can never feel poor or left out; nor can they consider the rich as more fortunate than themselves.
- Paramahansa Yogananda, Journey to Self-Realization p 243; Affirmation Metaphysical Meditations p 100.

"Each person has a unique role to play to shift any situation – some might be in a good position to support the person harmed, whereas others might be in a better position to cultivate accountability with the person causing the harm. Some might have material resources to offer, others might organize community support, and still others might offer perspectives on the underlying roots of the violence. With more people, any situation can shift toward healing, accountability, and transformation.” Ann Russo in Guest Post: Strategies for Cultivating Community Accountability by Ann Russo via Prison Culture
There are many ways to define your role, and I encourage you to look closely at the language used by local organizers and community leaders to guide you. But I appreciate this framework created by Deepa Iyer from the Building Movement Project. Learn more about the map and definitions for each role (both PDFs linked are via the website).

Welcome to the Voice of Change. Today's program is to talk about the WAKE UP call we are receiving from Mother Earth! Although many perceive what is happening today on the planet, as a great adversity, is that all it is? Is there a deeper significance that is behind the surface challenges, the inconveniences and all the pain. What brought us to this point on the planet? If we listen, and look at all that is taking place on the planet with NEW EYES, we might see all that has led us to this moment in time. Each of us can hear the WAKE UP call or not. Each of us can play our part or not. The choice is YOURS and MINE, day by day and moment by moment. Tune in! Call in! We'd love for you to add to the conversation.
Here is today’s radio show. Enjoy! Would love to here from you. www.blogtalkradio.com/voiceofchange
