Far too many black women suffer the same fate as me. Far too few are given the attention they desperately require. In sharing my story and launching a foundation, we hope to support fibroid sufferers and raise awareness about this debilitating condition whose symptoms include prolonged heavy bleeding, long-term anaemia , chronic tiredness, light-headedness, shortness of breath or palpitations, back or leg pain.
