I have been thinking a lot about my family since the inauguration. I can't help but take Trump's actions personally. My parents have taught me and my siblings the importance of love, tolerance and respect for everyone no matter what color, religion, gender, sexuality. They are shining examples of the American dream and are proof of what amazing people immigrants are. It makes me so angry that there are people out there that think we are less deserving to call ourselves American. My father came here with nothing and created a wonderful life for his family. He is a man I look up to everyday. My mother taught me to be strong and stand up for myself and never to let anyone make me feel less than I am. More and more I consider my self so blessed to have been raised by these two wonderful human beings. Our world would be so much better if everyone could live a life of love and tolerance instead of greed and hate. This picture epitomizes their relationship.
