While working in the garden

Or sip cold tea

While watching us play

She could be wise beyond her years

Or beautiful in many ways

With hair like a red velvet sun

Or as grey as her age;

She could be anything,

And I’d still love her

But Grandma Who does not know anyone anymore

She has faded into a memory, in which I do not share

So to those who know the ones you love: Do not lose the moon while counting the stars.
