I heard about Tarrare a while back but I went ahead and reread abt him since you reminded me and like the sheer density of all the shit that happened to him is astounding. Apparently this dude was just 22 when he got kicked out of the hospital for eating that baby. And he was just 26 when he died of tubercleosis. Talk about trying to live a full life am I right

realizing youre older than tarrare and you havent even made a name for yourself eating whole live eels and stinking up the place yet :-(

Now I’m thinking about a post I saw while half asleep about how Thorium reactors are becoming better and better without using weapons-grade material and still producing pretty low amounts of waste and someone was like “haven’t you played Fallout????”

My favorite part in Fallout 1 where the destruction of the world is caused by a bunch of reactors failing and not the extreme imperialism of the United States and China reaching critical mass ending in all out nuclear war.
