Greer had a perfect plan for Secret Santa. Somebody awesome would get her and she would get a free, cool gift, and then she would simply reuse one of the sucky, ugly sweaters she made years ago when she first started making sweaters. But of course, that was too nice of a plan to do it.
Now, they weren’t friends, not really. But they were hanging out a lot and Greer liked the girl more than most of the people in school, and she simply couldn’t bring herself to gift her one of those really ugly, really disgusting sweaters. Why couldn’t she get somebody like Pettigrew or Lockhart or somebody disgustingly happy and sweet from her house? She wouldn’t have had any problem gifting them something shitty.
Instead, she began knitting. She made a Ravenclaw scarf for the girl, but not one of those boring ones the school provides, nope. She wanted to make it something unique, so she used blue as the base color, and through the length of the scarf, she knitted the different stages of an eagle flying through the air. She also knitted a pair of fingerless, pink gloves so even if it’s cold, Gladys could knit something while her hands were not getting cold. (Only her fingers, but who cared about those, right?) And then she also knitted her a black, warm sweater with a dragon head on it as it was emitting fire from its mouth.
If you do something, you better do it right, right?
Dear Gladys,
You’re not so bad. Hope you like these.
