fluff questions for Rowan
1. What’s their go to pick up line/flirting tactic?
he really doesn’t use pick up lines, but basically: if he’s flirting with an ulterior motive he’ll be in Iago Mode (being generally outgoing and affable, paying compliments to and showing clear interest in the other person), but if he’s just his regular self he’s the type to want to really try to impress his crush and show off to them
2. Can they dance?
he’s got high enough dex and charisma that he could if he really wanted to but besides a few moves lumley has tried to teach him he doesn’t know how to dance and is unlikely to dance in the future (unless lumley convinces him or it’s to spend time with a cute boy)
3. Underwear style?
he strikes me as a briefs kinda guy
4. Crayons, markers, colored pencils or paint?
more colored pencils, he doesnt draw often but i feel like he’d prefer drawing utensils that are a bit more exact
5. What was their childhood stuffed animal of choice?
he had a teddy bear when he was very small, but it was lost in the move away from the capital not long after it collapsed. otherwise not really anything to speak of
6. What’s their sleeping position?
he sleeps on his side with his legs tucked up into a ball, usually with one of his hand near or under his pillow (bc he often keeps a dagger there, just in case)
7. Do they snore?
nah he’s pretty quiet when he sleeps
8. What do they act like when drunk?
his personality becomes more Rowan than Emil– he’s more personable, openly emotional, relaxed, and way more likely to be touchy-feely with people– he’s that drunk guy that goes around hugging his friends
9. Sweet, sour, salty, or savory?
savory stuff in general. his favorite flavors are spicy and bitter things
10. Can they play an instrument? If so, which one(s)?
none! maybe if his younger life was a little calmer he might have picked up a classical instrument as part of his studies, but he doesn’t know much about music
11. What would their favorite book be?
i can’t think of anything off the top of my head, but he’s the type to read a lot of non-fiction. if he has to read fiction, he’d lean more towards mysteries, historical fiction, and high fantasy.
12. What is their guilty pleasure?
all the books that he picks up (and eventually has to pawn off), card games, and the connections he makes with ppl along his travels
13. If they got a new pet, what would they name it?
he’s the type to give pets people names, although i don’t know specifically what name he’d choose.
14. Beachhouse, cozy snowy cabin, treehouse in a forest or desert paradise?
hmmmm..... he’d like the idea of a cottage but hates the cold, so a beachhouse might be nice even if it’s sandy.
15. What would their favorite board game be?
he’d be a fan of strategy-oriented games like risk or catan
16. What do they smell like?
he’s traveling most of the time, so there’s definite smell of dirt/sand and sweat, along with grassy smells, and the lingering scent of herbs and spices (since he was a spice/herb merchant for a very long time).
17. What’s their favorite smell?
the smell of his favorite foods as a kid, or of his dad’s office. nowadays he’s also very fond of the smell of the grasslands of khajjitan
18. If they were drunk, what would they get a tattoo of?
the symbol of hoth on his hip
19. Describe their laugh.
more of a low, breathy laugh than anything, usually pretty quiet. if you get him really laughing though it’ll turn into giggling
20. Hoodies, knit sweaters, wool coats or just a blanket to stay warm?
scarves!! he’s not really in the cold that often tbh, he lives pretty far south. up north he’s more partial to coats
21. Are they good with their hands? How do they deal with household-type maintenance?
he’s really good with fine motor skills (he’s a rogue after all), but he doesn’t know much about household matinence besides taking care of himself (washing clothes, basic cooking skills, etc)
22. If they had a custom car horn, what would it be?
he. wouldnt?
23. Favorite carnival attraction?
he likes the games! especially shooting games and the like. he likes to win prizes for other people
24. Showers or baths?
showers, they’re more efficient
25. What’s their ideal day off like?
hanging out with friends/family with nothing to really do or worry about, maybe exploring a city or reading a new book, just spending time in a comfortable environment with people he cares about
