Here Manu, it’s slightly better quality than the other one, though not that much clearer, but hopefully there is a better view of the chew toy... and of Waldo. Found him yet? ;-)

Yes you did :) They are actually the seagulls from the game, but I’ve recolored the original texture to make them look like parrots. Here’s a closer up picture, and thank you, I’m glad you like the world!

@danjaley said: This could be in the Gameplay Data package (i.e. a tuning mod), but I just checked and I only found a tuning that regulates how far from the plaque Sims are standing.
Thank you for taking a look! I’ve looked at this tuning and other files but I was not lucky either. I’ll ask on MTS, hopefully somebody there might know.

Thank you all so much for your nice comments and messages! I know I’ve said this a lot times, but the fact that after 3+ years there’s still interest and appreciation for this project means a lot to me and it’s something that keeps me motivated, so yeah, thank you ♥

Replies about the gems question
Thanks @kittythesnowcat, @desiree-uk, @nornities, @psychetrip, @yourpicasso25, @heavensims, and @dey1arc for your replies :)
You’ve pointed out some useful solutions which I will try out, for getting the gems in my lot (a temple in Uranesia). Sad to see that they don’t survive CAW export, so as you say offering the lot separately would work. Does anyone know if a save file of the world with the gems included would work too? Because I will probably upload one anyway, so that would be a good option.
Replies Re. That Paralives Video
There's been some comment to what we've said so here's what was received and our replies - excluding Murfeel, who gets one all to herself since she gave a very extensive reply over on her own site (and if we were to make a direct reply, people would think this was some sort of Mare's Nest/Murfeelee attempt to break the Quote Mountain ascent record established by Sims Forums back in 2009).
Bear in mind this is also appearing over on the main Wordpress blog for the benefit of those who won’t touch Dumblr with a ten foot!
Charsimatic
This is also an early development reveal. It could be another 2 years before this game is ready to be released and the parafolk look 10x better than they do now. Who knows, I just think the customization for the houses and furniture is SUPER cool! I think the original criticism in this post is a little...harsh.
Fair enough you thought it harsh, but look at this way - you’ve excused this as an ‘early development reveal’, said it could be another two years, the parafolk could look ten times better by then ... doesn’t that sound rather like you’re actually agreeing with us this is simply not good enough?
In which case, were we really that harsh?
Yes, no one likes anyone going General Woundwort on someone’s dreams, but these guys will have one - and only one- shot at releasing this.
They try selling us a pup, that’s it, they will not be given a second chance in a fickle market, and EA will know they can carry on screwing Simmers for the next decade with zero competition in a genre they will enjoy a complete monopoly on ... unless you count the Animal Crossing series and that would really be stretching it!

Warning! The following reply contains large amounts of butthurt. Viewer discretion is advised.
Oh, the Mare's nest? Since they called me a "boy" and accused me of stealing their shite when I didn't even know they existed, I take what they say with a pail of salt. And for a game that went from 1 to 3 devs recently, maybe they could wait a hot second before pissing all over it. It's not as if they're trying to SELL that game yet, so the temper tantrum is not really justified anyway.
Good to see you take us with so much of a ‘pail of salt’ (sic!) you chose to reply. Also good to see your view is in no way influenced by any sort of personal grudge because we called you out in the past for stealing ... how dare we, eh?
Although for the life of us neither of us can remember you. Which one of the array of the minor pseudo-psychotic bumnuggets we’ve encountered in ten years of Simming were you exactly then? There’s been so many, most blend into much of a muchness over the course of a decade.
(Of course, this being Dumblr, you may have junked your old name for a new one, as tends to be the routine with those caught out).
The Jazz-Hands half was somewhat displeased at the start of the year by someone using their custom content (and several others) for an uploaded game save of Sunset Valley, which said uploaded put behind Adflies - in short were trying to make money out of everyone else’s work.
Not sure if this was the incident which has caused you such grievous offence. One forgets that mouthbreathers regard it as their full and inalienable right to profit from others labours - o tempora, o mores!
Unless you're the one from Mod The Sims who got all pissy after we - very much tongue-in-cheek - lampooned them posting up a single Sisters of Mercy poster (the sort of thing they'd sneered at as ‘nooby’ back in the days before starting their own revenue generating filehosting service) a mere four years after we'd posted up eighteen (and got the interest of the Sisters Of Mercy's main fan forum, which meant perhaps more new Simmers lured over ... every bit helps for the cause you know!) ... in which case, suck it up, buttercup!
As for the rest of your highly analytical post, when someone sets up on Patron looking for funding to continue, then they are, de facto, trying to sell their game since they wish you to part with money - or rather trying to sell their ‘good intentions’.
Seem to remember the last one doing that was Graham Nardone with Sims 4 - look how that worked out for everyone who called us killjoys ...
Itsyuiri
I was skeptical at first (around last year, when the dog video was released, cause I'm not a huge fan of too much cell shading), but after this reveal, I'm 100% on board with the overall graphic look. It reminds me a lot of "The Wolf among Us", which is an absolute win for me personally. I still can't get over how ugly the Sims in TS4 look and it's been 6 whole years! But to each their own.
Thecynicalmermaid
I also think they'll aim for less "realistic" look anyway; I wouldn't necessary call it "cartoony", but this more artistic rather than straight up photo realistic style is popular and it'll probably make the game look "fresh" longer. Idk, she didn't look that bad to me. The animated hair and clothes are really awesome. If it'll come to sacrificing graphics for more dynamic look for the characters, hm why not?
That’s a fair point that they may be going for the artistic look in the hope it will not ‘age’. Games do tend to follow existing trends as to the ‘acceptable look’.
Animated hair and clothes have been around since the days of Alice: Madness Returns and it was always a mystery as to why EA couldn’t implement this in Sims 4 ... well okay, actually it wasn’t once you realised the people behind it are so allergic to a day’s work they’d be easily mistaken for British Members of Parliament.
Pika-Chip
Cause its so fair to compare a game that's in development for one year from a dev team comprised of four people , with TS4 a game that was in development since 2013 (if not earlier). Made by a billion dollar studio with several similar projects under their belt owned by EA with at least triple the budget and manpower.Cause its so fair to compare a game that's in development for one year from a d
‘From a d’? ‘From a d’? What’s that?
Good grief, please don’t tell us you managed to get yourself so worked up over us daring to express a dissenting opinion that you’ve collapsed from a heart attack mid-typed sentence!
Never mind, we’ll answer anyway.
It’s so fair - pay attention - to compare it to any other game, Glitterturd or otherwise - when they’re expecting us to pay for it.
They may plan to charge a lot less than for Sims 3 or Sims 4 - we don’t know, they’ve never indicated any proposed costings. But if it is in no way superior to either to a marked degree, the cost of purchase be too high - regardless what price is set - when we’ve all already shell out enough money on the Sim series.
Paralives is a game, not a holy crusade, and much as we long for the day the smug smirk is wiped off Graham Nardone and Grant Rodiek’s self-satisfied fat faces from one Pizza Friday (and Saturday, Sunday, Monday, etc) too many and one hour on an exercise bike too few, as matters stand this is not going to be anything more than a minor irritant.
(By the way, the Glitterturd wasn’t ‘developed’, it was old code fished out of a wastebin).
The Paralives people have always had one major advantage to EA ... the same one any Sims modder, world creator, etc has - being able to set their own deadlines and timescales because they are answerable to no-one but themselves. Yet this is what they have to show for it?
Once again we must stress this, they will have one shot at releasing this and capturing an audience, and in our view this is not looking anywhere near adequate.

Beautiful! Just out of interest, When you finish the updates, how does one update if we had a previous version installed? Is it the whole world or the save game?
Hi Desiree, I’m not sure I understand what you mean, because I haven’t released any version yet, and these updates are just pictures and information. But in any case, if I release any test version in the future and then I release the final version, you will have to reinstall the whole world and not just a save file. I hope I’ve answered your question :)

I am speechless! I admire your Worlds because all buildings in your town are connected. It's not just like many separate lots we get in EA worlds! It's such a great atmosphere. I can only imagine how much planning and landscaping those cities need until everything fits
Thank you so much! I love to create towns with narrow streets and connected buildings. I agree this is something EA never really tried, I mean it makes sense not to dot it in Sunset Valley type worlds, but for example the old town in Monte Vista doesn’t look very realistic. But well, I understand they can’t use the tricks I use to get that atmosphere hahah. And yeah, it took me days just to figure out and imagine the distribution of the lots in the port lol

I love the way you made the port protected. You think of details that might escape some, but are integral to creating the right atmosphere in a world like this.
Thanks :) Yep, they gotta protect themselves from the pirates, details are key :P

Thank you for your blog! I'm building a Roman version of Sunset Valley, from CAW to everything else, and it's been amazingly helpful in finding related CC! Your game looks gorgeous and is wonderfully inspirational!
I have just visited your Simblr. The idea of remaking Sunset Valley along the ages is so great. Personally, I love that it is now Roman Empire times, and I love all that you have built so far. Do you intend to play with characters, too, or share the world?
When I started grecoromansimspoetry my intention was to facilitate for us who wanted to play a Greek or Roman world in finding the appropriate content, which is hard since it is few... Since then, and it hasn’t been long, a lot has changed! We had very few period clothes -- and suddenly, the great venusprincess-simblr flooded us with THE most gorgeous creations for both male and female -- tunics, armours, sandals... There is a lack of appropriate furniture, and a lot could be converted from BIM objects, but that is for later...
Please do contact me if you ever need help in finding anything for your Roman game play.
Folks, go check and follow Sunset Valley History!
