my Tomlinshaw Topman head canon: the boys are in some new photoshoot/promo and naturally, Nick's entire line has been sent over. When Louis gets out of the shower he sees the Pig sweater draped over the couch. He gets some gut feeling that it looks vaguely familiar but he just shrugs and wears it anyway cuz "this dog design is sick!" when Lou calls him over for hair/makeup, she smirks at him which he finds Weird but ok and then Harry bursts in with Niall, passionately giving a speech on kale 1
but abruptly stops and when Niall looks at him too, they simultaneously smirk at him too and now Louis feels Even Weirder and irately asks “WHAT?” Niall just says “you just look great in that sweater Lou” which Louis knows is true but not the reason why but he lets it go anyway. Outside the venue, Nick’s just arrived because he’s so nervous and passionate about his line and Harry promised him he would wear it in the promo for support but he wants to be there personally so it’ll look Perfect
Harry meets him inside, definitely NOT in a Nick Grimshaw™ piece and just as he’s about to voice his protest, Harry says “I think your line will get some GREAT press today!” and Nick’s all ??? but lets Harry lead him to the main area and just as he’s finished greeting Cal and Niall, Louis and Liam come in and Nick’s heart just STOPS because holy shit is that Louis fucking Tomlinson wearing his sweater. Because that can’t possibly be Louis Tomlinson practically drowning in his Pig sweater because they were intended for Harry but there he is.
When Louis finally notices Nick, he bluntly asks what the bloody was he doing here. Nick fucking /stammers/ for a whole 10 seconds before violently coughing and giving himself a quick pep-talk (you talk for A LIVING, GRIMSHAW). When he gets his shit together, he says that he was here to see if they’d like his pieces.
Louis gets all confused because what?? pieces?? “his Topman line, Tommo!” Niall supplies helpfully and OH. Louis glances down at his chest, and then at Nick, who’s trying (and failing) to keep his blush down. The silence is tense - everyone’s watching with a bated breath (Niall had to muffle Harry with his hand because the git kept giggling). Louis clears his throat and says “it’s nice. and comfy. good job, Grimshaw.” Nick inhales sharply and stammers his thanks. Then everything starts moving again, people bustling and doing their jobs.
Louis gets called over but whispers to Nick first “you should show me the rest yourself next time.” he whispers, looking up at Nick through his lashes. Nick is still floored, confused and aroused and could only gulp and nod. Later, Louis goes home with Nick on the premise of meeting Pig because “she deserves to be congratulated for such a superb modelling work” and when he’s done cuddling with her, he “tries” the rest of Nick’s line himself…without anything else but a single article of clothing each and Nick just Can’t Get Himself Together stuttering and freezing sporadically the whole night until Louis just gives up and asks Nick to “Just snog or shag me already Grimshaw. My arse and cock have been freezing this whole time” and suddenly Nick just regains all of his Powers and smoothly seduces Louis the rest of the night.
