kuroken - kuroo sometimes gets a bit insecure that he genuinely gets on kenma's nerves so he sinks back in on himself a bit and sulks. kenma picks up on it instantly, puts down his psp and just asks if kuroo wants to watch a movie or smth but the genuine care and attention in his eyes is enough to lift kuroo's spirits again and reassure him in their friendship
Kuroo is very considerate of Kenma at all times but he sometimes worries that he might be a bit overwhelming. Of course, Kenma doesn’t find him even one bit overwhelming and is actually thankful for Kuroo’s excitement over things Kenma doesn’t even put thought into, the main one of these things being volleyball. If it weren’t for Kuroo’s insistence in trying out volleyball Kenma wouldn’t have gotten to enjoy himself has much as he has since he first started.
Although Kenma doesn’t let it show too often because he finds that there’s no need (maybe he sometimes finds himself overwhelmed by his own feelings), he cares for Kuroo more than most people would guess. He is his best friend and he’d give him the world if he were able to - Kuroo has been trying to give him the world, or what he can of it, ever since they met; even when they were kids.
Kenma knows Kuroo better than anyone and knows about his sulky moods and his down days that most people might think Kuroo doesn’t go through. But he does, and when he does he doubts everything he knows, even how much Kenma cares and loves him. But Kenma never let’s the doubt last for long: they watch movies sitting close together or Kenma sits with his back against Kuroo’s chest so the latter can rest his chin on one of his shoulders and watch him play, because often times Kuroo finds reassurance in being close to his best friend. Kenma makes sure to look over to him regularly and Kuroo will always look back at him just so he gets to see the care in Kenma’s eyes ❤
