I hope that at least after everything, I will always rent space in a dusty little corner of your heart.
@inafuturewithyou
“You’ve changed - انت تغيرتي"
I don’t like it when they say that.
I haven’t changed, you’re just finally seeing who i am...
the ‘other’ parts of me.
i’ve always been me, doing me however i do me; sometimes at a stand still (concerned with what you think of me)
But sometimes you dont want to see, all of me- these things that you have seen in me.
Which is ok, you don’t have to be pleased with me.
You must not have known who i am, to say that i have changed from who i was.
But i haven’t changed, dont put that on me (your eyes have changed with the way you look at me)
A Field of Sadness
You are a lone flower in a field of sadness
You stand out to the world and to me with your kindness
But you let the season change you
You follow them blindly, but what else is new
Do you expect them to love you?
As if exhaling fumes and steaming up rooms will get you through
All I can do is watch
As the lightning strikes your perfect smile while you down scotch
And the dark snow covers your body
I try to leave but your petals follow
Each bringing me back to watch tomorrow
Just as it seems I am gone
You’re petals change colors
Which makes me feel like it was something I’d done
So I curse my words at the seasons
Asking them why you do this and looking for reasons
I water you now and then but you won't drink from me
But each time it rains you’re affection to it is a guarantee
One day a flower will depend upon me
And a flower in a field of sadness I’ll no longer have to see
