Have you been Twitter Verified? Yeah, me neither, even though I tried. @DeRushaJ (22,200+ followers) and @RandBall (8,600+ followers) tried to get verified as well. The three of us lamented recently on Twitter about not being verified and ultimately came to this conclusion:

It's really YOUR Twitter followers who verify you, not Twitter. You won't get verified unless you are a celebrity, or a Twitter advertiser spending $25k+, or a person in the media -- who is not Jason DeRusha or Michael Rand, apparently. But don't sweat it, right? Just believe in #YouVerifyMe.
